@ShadowWizardStrikesBack Sorry I have no polite answers for you
@DanieleCuomo well, I can just hope you'll understand the real motivation for downvotes, which is keeping site quality, and there's no anger or something personal in them.
user1315829
Yes sure keep telling it yourself
I know my motivation, and I'm sure most others are the same.
user1315829
I am happy knowing that somebody there agreed with me
user1315829
Also happy to see you now faking kindness and wisdom
17:33
@DanieleCuomo you mean by upvote? Or comment?
user1315829
upvote
So, upvote means love and caring, while downvote means hatred and anger?
My first question on this site got downvoted at first. I didn't take it personally, or as sign for anger.
user1315829
Have you ever heard of the word "context"?
@ShadowWizardStrikesBack looks like you're look too much into my actions. Are you referring to the edit which I did in ELL? I did it in a haste, and there's no way to retract edit suggestion... so I couldn't do anything
@DanieleCuomo No but I have to go, so hopefully others might help, if you want.
user1315829

I bet
"Does it make sense that a downvote on a question this old should come along with a mandatory explanation?" The phrasing sounds rude to me. The sentence is better directed to the downvoter directly, but mentioning it in the question doesn't feel right and it feels as if it's directed at the readers of your question.
user1315829
Oh please, now this?
user1315829
I referred, and it is clear, to the SE example
user1315829
And it is damn kind, not rude at all
Daniele, if you aren't willing to listen, no one can really help you. I know that you're annoyed about the downvotes. But, relax, it's not the end of the world. Robert said something nice: "You're arguing about one downvote. That could be organic and nothing to do with your recent activity. Remember one swallow doesn't make a summer. Correlation is not causation and all that."
Also, I can't really find your new question... is it this one: stackoverflow.com/q/74548409?

I deleted it
user1315829
I will contact macOS support for it. I am also done with SE community.
user1315829
Meaning that I also deleted that account
For me, participating in SO was quite a difficult experience as I didn't have expertise in any programming topics. I'll share a small story of mine.
user1315829
Yes I meant S.O.
stackoverflow.com/a/67759995 I posted this answer and it was deleted within an hour. I was angry. But I followed the guidance given to me, and eventually, the answer was undeleted and I also got some upvotes eventually.
user1315829
17:49
I have a story too with a good end
Feel free to share it.
user1315829
I posted a question on Physics. A good one, for me, of course. A high-ranked person didn't understand it because it was not in his grasp. He decided to be unkind, downvoted and commented saying that my question was nonsense. I reported him, his comments was deleted and at last I got my answer from a prepared person.
user1315829
This is, to me, what is not happening now.
user1315829
So, happy to leave this community.
17:53
Bad experiences keep happening. That doesn't mean it's the end of the world. All I could say is look at the bright side too.
user1315829
I would have done the same for the Physics community if that person's comment would have been leaved there.
@DanieleCuomo It's your choice. Do as you please.
user1315829
I am very lucky I am in the kindest community
user1315829
At least it is for now
Which community is it?
user1315829
17:54
One day it will be populated by much more users and it will be probably full of angry people
user1315829
That because of their rank they think they are perfect, I will let you imagine who I am referring to.
hmmm... if you care about the community, you can stay and try to improve things. If you feel you can't do it, it's ok to leave.
user1315829
Also, not important, as SE teems with people like this
Physics.SE used to be busier. Quite a few experts left because it got flooded with low-effort homework questions. It's mostly quite civilised, but there have been a couple of nasty incidents.
@DanieleCuomo I'm sorry. I can't make such assumptions.
user1315829
17:57
I care about a community, but I barely have the time to participate where people are kind. I can't for sure dedicate myself to make the worst community being a better environment
Some of those experts are textbook authors, and authors of famous papers. We even had a Nobel prize winner...
@DanieleCuomo I understand you as nobody understand. I know it can be hard for you accept downvotes. Just: don't worry! You study at your own mistakes.
I recommend everyone just stop trying to change their mind, and just let them leave as they've announced they'd do several times now.
user1315829
Pet Linux, thank you. But I don't care of downvotes xD
user1315829
18:00
Downvotes are a rank system, so I don't care.
You're all only giving them more chances of fishing for sympathy and retorting by calling all of you rude and mean.
That's not a good use of anyone's time :)
user1315829
The context of using downvotes for expressing rage is a reality. And, that, is what disturbed me
@DanieleCuomo if you need any help leaving, let me know.
user1315829
thanks a lot
Otherwise, it's time to follow up on your threats by yourself
user1315829
18:02
Mmmm ok?
user1315829
Does it mean we are done here?
Tinkeringbell, please don't let things escalate. They shall do as they please.
It means you are done here, yes.
user1315829
I have a request
user1315829
if you can
user1315829
18:02
before I go
user1315829
can you delete my account now?
No, you were leaving. Bye
You can always delete your profile
user1315829
No I mean Now
No. Just wait for the timer to expire
user1315829
Wow, Rude. It is spread everywhere
user1315829
18:03
thanks for the fake kindness then. Good bye
Daniele, I'm sorry about what's happening here.
Don't be. You never have to suck up this kind of abuse from users
@Tinkeringbell I wouldn't say that what Daniele did was abuse and please refrain from using phrases like "suck up".
