they keep saying and saying and saying nice words, like they hired a PR firm, but none of the promised followup is coming. The only people that maybe get more transparency now are moderators, and the most principled ones of those resigned over recent events. It doesn't look good
there's been exactly zero reason, not even the faintest speck, to someone not in the mod bubble to believe they are doing anything but the most corporate outright evil thing they can in any recent situation. Can't speak for how mods see things but I do know a whole bunch of the ones I liked disliked the situation so much they left in disgust
@Rubiksmoose I didn't mean that to disrepute staying mods, but i meant that a whole bunch of mods I viewed as of utmost principles and integrity couldn't bear the situation and just left
there's bound to be viewpoint diversity in the mod community so it's not like the ones that are left aren't principled, but it paints a very grim picture
@Tinkeringbell instead of what? Becoming cynical? You know it took me a long way to fully lose faith in this company. I gave them plenty benefit of the doubt and they showed they didn't deserve any of it
I understand the CMs have their livelyhood on the line and can't be expected to defy orders but whatever orders they got mean they're either buried so far under backlog that they can expect to catchup sometime in 2030 or they've been forbidden from talking
@Tinkeringbell It's all connected they don't just get to move on from their complete failure of integrity
I understand why you're tired of hearing about it and lord knows the CMs must be but moving on and allowing them to go back to business as usual is a complete betrayal of monica
If this place ends before SE realizes their mistake then that's not the fault of people who don't let injustice go
I've spent a great deal of my time and energy helping this place out I demand it be better then this
