@rene Well that<s definitely outside of my expertise but that query looks promising :) Maybe we could just run it now and then and see what needs cleaning up
I'm a total SQL noOb... if I wanted to add other strings, how would I syntax that?
Our community puts so much effort in answering these questions and their titles tend to be really non-descriptive
Well I'm mostly targeting titles, but I don't know if titles have more value than body content for searching
like if someone is looking to make a particular effect and searching on Google, will they be more likely to land on GDSE because of a title match or a body match
@rene Well now you did :) I had seen it before and I tried making my own queries in the past but most of the time I can find something else to fork and tweak
The following query shows the number of questions with specific tags across all sites in the SE network.
-- start create url from dbname
IF OBJECT_ID ( '#siteurl', 'P' ) IS NOT NULL
DROP PROCEDURE #siteurl;
GO
create procedure #siteurl
@dbname nvarchar(250),
@res nvarchar(250) OUT
...
The most important difference between a self-hosted data-dump and SEDE is that on SEDE the query needs to run to completion within 2 minutes.
And using the data-dump allows for things like lexical analysis of the all the text of the posts.
If you have a specific parameter you want to have plotted, feel free to drop it here or post a sede question on MSE to get some more eyes on it. I do know @glorfindel and @Martin take these requests as well.
Thank you so much :) I don't have anything in mind currently. In terms of my own community, I think I can see most of the stuff I'm curious about in our analytics but that other site allowed to look at other communities
