@RebeccaChernoff Eh, I would have stuck with it. I'm not convinced "Just before 11PM" wasn't actually "Before 7PM" without evidence otherwise, personally. :P

yeah, I added more detail and undeleted.

:)

@TimStone Seriously? A 26 minute old post and you beat me by 6 seconds

I had to go try and find something that I was reading last night to see if the behaviour was well-defined in the HTML5 spec :P
(I didn't find a conclusive answer, because the section on cross-origin resources doesn't appear to be finished)
Also uh...skillz?
At least you got to save the day by deleting the message ;)

Ah, the Meta chat

12:18 PM
Uh oh, I think that chat.SE just had an epic fail.

@TimStone yeah I think something got b0rked.

looking

ServerFault - The Comms Room and SuperUser - Root Access are both telling me I need 20 rep to chat. Here is fine.

NO REPS FOR ANYONE!

@TimStone D:

shoots close votes at duplicates
pew pew!
Likely should have remembered to sleep at some point last night...but now, it's time for coffee.
@tombull89 I've decided to respeculate that we all simply got so much reputation that the value overflowed and we wrapped around to 0.

@Jin, I understand that you created the design for bycicles.se. Would you mind taking a look at my request once more? I don't think any of the bike moderators are in any position to make a change to the design of the site (although I'm sure they can suggest changes)

Looks clear enough for me. Maybe your monitor setting needs some tweaking instead?

2:50 PM
RAWR!

3:51 PM
I need to improve my freehand writing. "cl" looks too much like "d" which makes "(drawing of big arrow) click" rather dodgy looking.

4:11 PM
Weirdest thing - someone is trying to google talk with me and I can't hear them but I hear them typing and white noise.

That is odd.

@Moshe integrated mic on a laptop perhaps?

The computer is a desktop

Hey @Moshe. I think you would be the ideal person to answer this question.

@jadarnel27 heh, interesting. I've learned about that before, but it looks like it's covered.

4:17 PM
@Moshe I just recognized that name from seeing you in here. Thought it was funny =)

lol, I can see that.
That's one of the places I got my name, btw. (It's my IRL name.)
The desktop is a Windows 7 computer with internal mic.

@Moshe Very cool. How is your name pronounced (if you don't mind me asking)?

@jadarnel27 I don't mind, just terrible at phonetic spelling.
and I'm troubleshooting something now, over the internet, with one way audio
hang on

Good luck =) Perhaps a problem with there sound device settings in Windows?

4:22 PM
@jadarnel27 likely
@ShawnChin If I'm reading it correctly.

I know that if you plug in a usb audio device, Windows automatically sets it as the default sound device on the PC (which is really annoying).
So may some other device plugged into the PC (is what I'm getting at).

@jadarnel27 - Can we Skype? I can answer your question and explain the situation.
(removed)

@Moshe I'm at work, and have no microphone with which to skype. Rawr =/

ah, ok
@ShawnChin - Looks right.

@ShawnChin Thanks. That is a very helpful website!
I was pronouncing that wrong in my brainz.

4:29 PM
Yup...
Well, a zillion apps to write, no time.
wants to play Terraria

I better quit goofing off as well =)

Ok, ttyl, then.

@jadarnel27 same here. In my brainz, the trailing "e" was silent. (sorry @Moshe).

5:08 PM
@ShawnChin Haha, you were closer than I was. I was thinking it as though it rhymed with Yoshi (the dinosaur from Super Mario Bros.)

5:47 PM
hi guys, does someone could help us with this I did not find a reference on meta.stackoverflow :

Q: Who Do I Contact About Concerns I Have Regarding Moderation?

SlytherincessAs the subject line says, I have some specific moderation concerns that I'd like to discuss with an impartial third party (if such a person has that role on SE). I'm hoping everyone will understand that I don't want to directly link to the post in question; I don't want to put anyone on the spot ...

If you're very concerned, you can always e-mail team@stackoverflow.com

Q: When does Stack Exchange take action on a misbehaving moderator?

Cedric MartinHow far can a moderator go before Team Stack Exchange take action against them? How many flagged comments of said moderator or how many complaint emails would be needed for action to be taken? I recently had a question closed which I thought was perfectly valid and not subjective. It got close...

@DavRob60 The community seems to think that particular asker was unfairly ranting, but the answers are valid for you.

@DavRob60 Responded.

@Shog9 thanks

6:11 PM
I got the "Unsung Hero" badge over the weekend. Yay! jadarnel27 pats himself on the back

@jadarnel27 Just don't sing about yourself, or we'll have to revoke that badge.

Q: /me command for chat

The Unhandled ExceptionI love the "action" command /me found elsewhere, and think it would be fun to have in the chat. A message like: /me loves the new chat system Would show up as: Josh loves the new chat system Rather than: Josh: loves the new chat system I'm trying to think how it would work with ...

6:29 PM
@PopularDemand The accepted answer to that question is an excellent example of how community wiki should be used

7:16 PM
@Shog9 Drat. I guess I'll have to find a new hobby.
@PopularDemand Upvote'd (even though it's old). Also, that script is a nice compromise.

Just saw some awesome job opportunities come up on the right-side Careers ad:

You don't think dfdsfds is a real city in South Dakota?

Well, who wouldn't want Sr. job title at company name? :)

I think it is. :P

:)
I've always wanted to be a Sr. job title

@Chris Bah, I'd rather CTO at company name, but that's just me.

9:18 PM
I blame Matt. (That's how learning from history works, right?)

A: Lol Debugging are we? - SO homepage alerts false

Matt ShermanThis one was my fault. UPDATE: Our 5 Why Assessment of the situation Problem: there is an alert on every page of Stack Overflow Why? Because Matt deployed a version of the Careers ad code with a debugging line in it Why? Because he forgot to remove it before pushing his change Why? Because...

@Moshe Good point

@PopularDemand Let's not jump to conclusions, now. It's not like his name is all over it.

MY FAULT.
I'M THE WORST.

It was Punyon! We should have known.

Stupid regexes never work...

9:27 PM
Argh, it was? I shoulda gone with my first instinct.

@Popular: Yeah, it was me...

We'd normally blame @RebeccaChernoff, but Careers is outside of her domain.

@JasonPunyon That being the case, well done attempting to throw us off the scent with that MattCo entry.

@Popular: Yeah, Matt tests the job posting stuff the most. I'm sneaky that way :)

Lesson learned? Just blame @JasonPunyon right away. (:

9:57 PM
^^^ Just in case anyone is wondering: That is the most important checkbox when you're using snapshot dependencies in Team City :)

@JasonPunyon Always the minor details, heh. ;)
@RebeccaChernoff We'll take that into consideration :P

Since you're here, @JasonPunyon, I've been wondering: why do you get such a bad rap on the podcast?
Is it some sort of an inside joke?

If it was...I couldn't tell you :)

:)
Just the default fall guy, then

@Chris It's OK, I vouch for him. Plus, the man has his own soda, how much more credibility can you get?

10:14 PM
Fair enough.
@TimStone Do you mean this?
Also:
in SE Podcast Live Chat on The Stack Exchange Network Chat, Jun 7 '11 at 20:17, by Michael Mrozek
I tweeted about Punyon Cola and now my friends are asking me what it is

@Chris: It's all good natured ribbing. And yes, my own brand of soda is a decent proxy for credibility. No one ever asks "Where did Dr. Pepper get his PhD?", he's got his own soda! He must be genuine ;)

Exactly.
