MagischAltering the code of an answerer because you disagree with their coding style or used methods is completly unnaceptable.

There are supposed to be Chrome extensions that let you automatically take screenshots of long pages, but I don't trust installing extensions that I haven't reviewed the code for, because they've been used as a vector for mal/spy/adware in the past.

user163250
I'm not sure if Google updated the updated process for Chrome extensions yet. Users should be able to be notified and accept/reject updates, instead of automatically having them installed.

user163250
One shady tactic used in the past was to buy up the source code and distribution rights to an author's legit and popular extension, and then rewrite the code to introduce ad/malware, and then push the now corrupted extension out to users who had previously installed legitimate versions of the it.
