I am so confused with Modulus in C. I am writing a small script that allows the user to input their two number vars, then they can either add, subtract, multiply, divide (easy) or modulus (haven't caught this one yet). What would I be doing wrong in this? I get the "invalid operands to binary %" ...
@AidenBell Heh! probably would annoy me less. But then again, if I had that choice, I wouldn't be working with this code and would be less annoyed to start with.
@rchern yeah, that works, in that it eats the key. But I'm used to using Enter for C++ and C#, where VS kindly eats that key as well, so it's a hard habit to break.
@AidenBell Nah, someone decided to go with MySQL, but I'm tempted to switch it to PostgreSQL. I don't think that NoSQL is particularly appropriate for this scenario, though I'd have to read more about the various offerings out there to be sure.
@Tim Your gut is probably right ;) Not used PostgreSQL much but I hear nothing but good things. Not looked at clustering on that end much though. MySQL is pretty much staple these days, just not sure about the 'quality' of it at times

Jesus Christ Almighty, what a f***ing mess of a website. I'm trying to post a question. Just the one, you know, f***ing question. So I sign up for an ID and I'm sent an email that doesn't real...
@Tim Interesting approach. Not sure I understand the vertical axis in the graph. The referenced XKCD uses vertical to represent relative physical location.
is the inbox broken? not just taling about meta...on other sites the link is there just empty, even though i have a red number saying there should be somtehing.
▓ laptop monitor ▒ external monitor ░ area that is not covered by any monitor ═ shape of the virtual desktop ─ shape of the area that is actually covered by monitors
is the above understandable enough? do you get no-glyph-squares there?
@PopularDemand I had originally thought that, but the edit history suggests the question started as CW, got non-CW answers, then was migrated (almost a year later)
@PopularDemand I'm don't really care. The "features" are minor enhancements that can't do any harm. And the scripts are fully open - it's not like they're obfuscated or anything
@rchern - Just random text to look a bit like credits. Couldn't be arsed with anything more than copy-and-paste. The actual text is: "starring some dude with a big hat -- directed by some guys who couldn't care less"
lol
@Diago - I know, Jeff and Joel need their billion dollar yacht
@AidenBell Really, not bad. But you didn't get the "Social Network" style right. What you really need is to typeset it in Helvetica, justified, then make the last line italics.
On second thought, to capture the SO Meta style
Drop some freehand circles, arrows, then add some totally wacky drop shadow
I heard that there is a film being made. If so, please consider my poster:
Then people at the Tavern had some suggestions:
Anyways, I hope people make some good suggestions for plot etc ... Good luck with filming and stuff.
