A: Restart a GIF animation when you click on a text link

cybermonkeyYou need to assign an id to your link (a), let's use the id aniclk for this example. Replace <a href="#">this</a> with this: <a id="aniclk" href="#">this</a> Notice the id="aniclk". You'll want to change your Javascript to this: $(function(){ var image = new Image(); image.src ='...

I can't see why it would be DV'd

Thiru SelvamI found the answer - No issues guys thanks for your contribution

I... you're welcome?
Maybe SO should disable answers. Rubber-duck debugging is good enough.

user259867
I think so. Certainly not a question.

Please don't add "thanks" as answers. Invest some time in the site and you will gain sufficient privileges to upvote answers you like, which is the Stack Overflow way of saying thank you. — cybermonkey 10 secs ago

Not so sure. One can send email and chat messages, not people. People do decide where to go and what to do there.

Just out of the curiosity how is a user with rep below 50 able to comment (which would seem to be useful in this case without the additional answer):stackoverflow.com/a/31709693/1699210

That's weird

@bummi Looks like it was automatically converted

But it wasn't. The answer would be deleted and there'd be something in the rev history
Oh wait
they might have tried posting a different one that did get converted

@Undo mhhh I can't see anything other there

I know

user259867
7:57 PM
Automatic conversion leaves no trace because no actual answer is created: the text entered by user gets redirected to a comment.

I think the system throws it directly into a comment without making a deleted answer
^ that

Ok, thanks, that's new for me

user259867
This can be abused by leaving comments wherever: just put "see this: <random SO link>" as an answer, get it converted, then rewrite your comment to be whatever you want to say.

user259867
You don't even need a registered account for that.

user259867
And there will be no trace in web sockets.

user259867
7:59 PM

And if it becomes an issue, that loophole will be closed.

@NormalHuman interesting, thanks, though I think it's ... mhmmm ... dangerous

I removed the answer just in case. :)

@NormalHuman :) so I bookmarked this: meta.math.stackexchange.com/questions/9203/…

user259867
Now, if one made a userscript to automate the process: add custom textarea under question, where the text of comment is entered, and then the rest is done automatically...

user259867
that probably would be going too far.

8:09 PM
@NormalHuman I think you can undelete it ... there are enough other posts showing the hole

user259867

Q: Why does this script not work on imported models

Vin BreauI've created a movement script that checks to see if an object is grounded, and if so, moves the object based on user input. When I attach it to an object I create in Unity, it works. When I attach it to an object I created in Blender and then imported, nothing. No errors, the object just fails t...

@Braiam That's manual conversions (by a mod), not automatic conversions.

Automatic conversion is really redirection of input.

@NormalHuman I'm pretty sure you have to do more than just including a random line to apply a license.

user259867
@U̶n̶i̶h̶e̶d̶r̶o̶n̶ Probably, but in the spirit of the license I don't give ... much thought to it.

user259867
> As long as your intention is clear, you can place your license information wherever you like. Some projects only include a descriptive line in the project's README (e.g., "This project is licensed under the terms of the MIT license."). However, to avoid any potential ambiguity, it's best to include the license file with your project as well. help.github.com/articles/open-source-licensing
