so I need a webserver / db / fs I can upload stuff to, and I'll write a webservice to let me drop stuff, and I'll write a windows service (and later a OSX service and a unix/linux service [altho they aren't called that on those platforms]) and then a iPhone and an Android and a WinPho app and ... so first things first, the initial target platform is Windows desktops

No, I hadn't heard of that. This was inspired by my sis-n-law losing her laptop to a house fire.

@marcGravell I'm in favor of either way. I think no slash is better for mobile users and also I think all ios tags should be synonyms of just "iOS".

When I click on a vote button on a question, the link dialog containing a URL to the question may appear intermittently. This most often occurs on Stack Exchange Photography, but I've seen it occur on other sites. Is this a bug?

So ... I'm going to do my initial development on the newly minted domain name jcolebrand.com (or one of the other TLDs I picked up (info|biz|net|org|us) and then when I have a actually usable service, I will have to get a new name for it

I figure the roadmap will look like this:
