*poke*
Dec 23, 2015 06:49
Huh, I just got the Airing of Grievances hat on M.SE. I guess that means that M.SE is its own Meta
Dec 23, 2015 06:45
That selector triggers my oh god no web developer sense
Dec 23, 2015 06:35
Yup, did that
Dec 23, 2015 06:33
Gonna edit that out now
Dec 23, 2015 06:33
Also, I can't unsee that ridiculous typo in that question title.
Dec 23, 2015 06:29
The community won't allow something so off topic
Dec 23, 2015 06:29
Nope, definitely not
Dec 23, 2015 06:28
The ad itself is fine, but I'm not sure if this is suppose to show up on Gaming.SE
Dec 23, 2015 06:27
Dec 23, 2015 06:27
Anyway, I was trying to upload this
Dec 23, 2015 06:27
And for some reason the DVD drive icon is just a black square
Dec 23, 2015 06:26
There's no sidebar, which is suppose to show a list of drives and recent locations. The icons are super pixelated, obviously the 16px versions of themselves
Dec 23, 2015 06:25
I'm quite sure the file upload dialog is not suppose to look like that
Dec 23, 2015 06:25
I think I triggered either a Windows 10 or a Firefox bug trying to upload images to chat
Dec 23, 2015 06:25
Dec 14, 2015 02:34
Anyway, like I've said his answer is almost correct, but dangerously wrong in that it now causes all 404 error to be responded with 200 status code, which is very bad for crawlers
Dec 14, 2015 02:32
No, I probably mistook the highest scored answer for being accepted
Dec 14, 2015 02:29
@Braiam Huh, I don't know why I typed that
Dec 14, 2015 02:08
At least it doesn't make me feel as dirty as Angular does
Dec 14, 2015 02:07
But I did some code in it a while back, and it feels pretty good to write
Dec 14, 2015 02:07
Yeah, React is weird
Dec 14, 2015 02:05
Probably whatever React is doing is what's good these days, although IIRC that's working outside the DOM altogether
Dec 14, 2015 02:03
But that was a few years back, and it's probably out of date
Dec 14, 2015 02:03
I recall best practice a few years back for doing large updates to the DOM is to extract out the elements into a DOM fragment that is detached from the main document, update the elements there, then stick them back into the document again
Dec 14, 2015 02:02
Not really sure. It's been a while since I looked into how browsers do their thing
Dec 14, 2015 02:00
I haven't really kept up with this stuff, but wouldn't it create a redraw event for every one of those modifications to the style property?
Dec 14, 2015 02:00
Hmmmm. I'm not sure if that is the most performant method
Dec 14, 2015 01:39
Guessing about secret hats will earn you a secret hat? That's very... meta
Dec 14, 2015 00:58
Although it only took five minutes on Stack Exchange chat
Dec 14, 2015 00:58
It takes up to an hour to synchronize
Dec 14, 2015 00:58
Wait for it to refresh
Dec 14, 2015 00:57
You know the old saying about never eating anything larger than your head? Nobody told Pinkie Pie
Dec 14, 2015 00:57
There we go
Dec 14, 2015 00:57
Dec 14, 2015 00:56
How does Community upvote?
Dec 14, 2015 00:55
One of the horrible default ones that comes with Photoshop
Dec 14, 2015 00:53
Although verbing weirds English
Dec 14, 2015 00:53
I think just hatten is fine
Dec 14, 2015 00:52
Usually I have to work for these things!
Dec 14, 2015 00:51
user image

Dec 14, 2015 00:51
This year is almost too easy
Sep 22, 2015 14:14
That works for me
Sep 22, 2015 14:13
@S.L.Barth'S should repro
Sep 22, 2015 14:12
Already repro'd a few times on chat.SE
Sep 22, 2015 14:08
Can't actually reproduce this yourself, since someone else will have to ping you, but, eh, there's plenty of socks to go around
Sep 22, 2015 14:08
Not in transcript, starred message list, or elsewhere. No console errors. Most likely a client side error with regards to how pings are parsed
Sep 22, 2015 14:07
Found a bug @balpha'S. When the string 'S is appended to any username ping (partial or full) the word undefined get appended to the ping, causing it to become @Username'Sundefined. This only appears in the pinged user's chat, and only in the main chat body
Jul 2, 2015 02:11
I hope
Jul 2, 2015 02:11
@Doorknob Well this is the fastest way to get someone's attention, and this is a SE hosted chatroom, so I don't think anyone here will try to hack the blog's comments :P
