@YiJiang I was just answering to @MichaelMrozek saying "SO should just use that everywhere"
I don't want a once-a-second update in chat either, but I'm not disagreeing in general

9 hours later…
4:10 PM
Add an info link to room oneboxes:
3
(I've asked before I think, but just in case it was forgotten)

4:22 PM
Hey balpharc, thanks for getting my feature request to ignore Mrozek done.
Oh...wait...oops. (;

4:56 PM
@michael - I'm just wondering: any common scenario in mind there?

Honestly, I'd love that feature too.
A bunch of times people will link a room and I don't want to join it, but I just want to look at the access, or view the transcript.

5:37 PM
I wanna upvote this +100 because of what rchern said in :507602

6:05 PM
@RebeccaChernoff Seconded (or thirded, whatever we're at now)

I love how people are agreeing with me when it is @MichaelMrozek's feature request. (;

Nobody likes to admit agreeing with @MichaelMrozek, I guess

Perfectly understandable.

@balpha He used that horrendous [feature-request] link thing, which is unacceptable.

6:46 PM
Viewing the transcript is my normal use case. I end up copying the room URL and manually adding the /info part to get there

@TimStone I guess you want to that is added to .

...That was...I'm not even sure what word to use. :P

status-pain

@TimStone I've even ged the for you, now and

6:48 PM
Oh, someone fixed the horrible styling and didn't tell me to refresh, I see how it is.

@TimStone ?

in The Tavern (General), yesterday, by balpha
(needs F5 for fresh CSS)

Oh, yeah; when it first came out I was wondering what drugs balpharc were on
@balpha The tags look horrible if you don't have the CSS that was pushed out when the feature was added

@badp I didn't get that memo. :P
So, so horrible shudders

@MichaelMrozek I was actually surprised that those tags were styled at all tbh

6:52 PM
Oh. Which I guess you're aware of, since you wrote that message yesterday

I would've image that @TimStone would've noticed faster :)

@balpha I was watching TV most of yesterday, and the only time I saw the tags used was when they were being abused by a certain person, so the general annoyingness of it made me block them out for the time being :P

@TimStone it's okay, soon we'll get a castle out of it and everything will be okay again with the world
remember, any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from castles.

Of course.

Allow [status-anything] not only in separate messages.

user153011
status-anything

status-declined

user153011
@TimStone tags can be used inline, then why statuses can't?

Because it's an easter egg, and I see no reason to allow people to abuse things even more than they already do.

user153011
Or, highlight tags beginning with status- in red.

user153011
8:21 PM
@TimStone So tags aren't an easter egg?

No, they're a feature carried over from the main site.

user153011
Hmm, then why not just use [meta-tag:status-anything]?

I'm honestly not sure why they were added to chat, but.

user153011
Anyway, if I want to include statuses inline, I'll stick to [meta-tag:status-anything].

11:21 PM
Will look at in the 'morrow

This only happens in the live view. The transcript doesn't add the space unless I click the "(see full text)" link, at which point it loses the paragraph breaks also.
