Pardon, I miss typed that. I was just talking about James name, which is the same as James from Pokémon Team Rocket famous duo.

Anyway, the cutie mark is just the symbol ponies from MLP have on their flank.

@UniKitty That is the name the show actually use. I --assume-- it was because when mlp started as a toy back in the '80 I think those symbol didn't had any meaning and where just put there as a way to make the toy look more cute for little girls (which where the original toy target after all)

@UniKitty Not trying to change your view there, just pointing out that the name "cutie" mark probably just derives from the original toy makers intent. Nowadays "destiny" mark would be a better name, especially since the show is pretty different from the original one. I guess that is why I actually can like the current version.
