System.exit() just proxies to Runtime.getRuntime().exit() anyway, heh.

@TimStone yep, that's why if an error gets thrown I have a framework that grabs it, logs the stacktrace and related info, and then stores it for me later, and I can find the error when they didn't even know it blew up

So I find that generally on my first email or two to a person I try and have the appropriate contact info so they can at least have it somewhere, but otherwise I normally just close with either "Cole" or "C" since they already have my "from" in the email header
