Wow, impressive!
when I got to it it was 34 seconds old :D

@Undo I was watching the realtime page so I saw it. :P
'if it had bad keywords (baba, 10 digits, etc.) it would automatically do it for me though.
which makes it even quicker. :D

oh. I thought it was automagical :P

I cast the last flag. :P

well, it is. but I manually did that one
because it's just gibberish and the detector didn't detect it :P

6:02 PM
Why not just make the spam finder see if the title has no spaces..?

There has to be a gibberish detector somewhere.

I could add <h2>[A-Za-z]+</h2>. :P

Here is a SO question on detecting gibberish using javascript: stackoverflow.com/questions/10211028/…

yes, I'm going to add that.

6:04 PM
I feel like posting an answer to the skeptics question responding 'kdslfjmslkfks;dajkls;dff;'

@ManofSnow So we think we have a solution for you to make your app.

@Undo What is it

// These are the current spam-detector regexen:
r={
    /<h2>[\s\S]*?\b(?:\d{10}|vashikaran|baba)\b[\s\S]*?<\/h2>/i: 'Bad keyword',
    /<h2>[^ ]+<\/h2>/i: 'No spaces'
}

@Undo It's non-profit, but I can provide a link in it for donations

@ManofSnow The main repo is here. We think it would be best for you to fork it and make whatever changes you want to add an API (we'll help you get it set up, etc.), then we review the changes and merge it into main.

6:06 PM
wait, oops, wrong way. flip the string and the regex :P

@Undo This'll be tricky, because I'm not using Javascript

Hello

@ManofSnow It's a repo written (mainly) in PHP...

@hichris123 I see. It shouldn't be hard, because the language I'm using is based off ECMAScript

updated spam detector, now it detects titles without any spaces and also it gives a reason when it posts a spam question.

6:08 PM
Guys is there an SE website where I could ask a question about headphones?

What kind of question?

Headphones installation, creation, usage, or what?

I looked on the internet for info about cable length for a specific manufacturer/model, but got bupkis for the moment
Any idea?

Not really, no. :/

6:15 PM
Well maybe then someone could suggest the most probable SE website to ask, that question? "Audio-Video Production" as was suggested?

warning: lots of false positive spam coming soon (I'm testing)
SPAM: tex.stackexchange.com/questions/156370/… (Contains letter a: rotating and positioning of repeating parts in tikz)

uh-oh

SPAM: superuser.com/questions/708316/… (Contains letter a: unix expr command shows strange results comparing integers)
ok, killed it :P
it works
the new spam reasons feature

Okey. Read the description. They might know, but seems not really the appropriate place.

ok, so now both reasons (contains bad keyword and no spaces in title) are up and running!
brb, lunch

6:19 PM
You're not just going to leave us alone with that... monster spam finder gizmo, are you?

@Undo I'm registering the app on StackApps, and I'm trying to think of a name... is Charcoal copyrighted?

@ManofSnow I doubt it. Call it charcoal-api or something.

@Undo The app I'm registering on StackApps?

@ManofSnow Oh, I haven't copywrited anything in my life :P
@ManofSnow Oh, call it Charcoal if you want.

@Undo Hooray :) And if I copyright it, then you would be sued, lol

6:20 PM
yeah, don't do that.

Ok :P

You would have to prove I'm damaging you somehow, which wouldn't happen :P

I'm stuck at the OAuth Domain
I've never created one

@ManofSnow Oh, there's an iOS library for that.

I'm talking about registering it on StackApps

6:25 PM
@ManofSnow Ah... use erwaysoftware.com if you want.

Okay :P or I can use the website I own

@ManofSnow Use yours.

Haha okay :P

Oooh. I can actually OAuth now since I have a IP!

Makes some things cleaner :P
@hichris123 You didn't have an IP before? How'd you manage that?

6:26 PM
@Undo Heh, I mean server IP.

Ah, yeah.

@Undo I'm looking at erwaysoftware.com, you don't have any apps made yet?

It makes my life so much easier now.

@ManofSnow Eh? I have like six.

@Undo None are listed

6:27 PM
Oh, erwaysoftware.com is kind of a mess.

@Undo Nevermind, just a bug. Listed after the 3rd click

back.
yay, no spam since I've left! :D

It says totalizer is 'coming soon', but it's already out :P

hehe

@Undo I'm actually confused, I've never listed an 'Oauth Domain'. What is it for? The website they get the info to sue me from, or something?

6:30 PM
@ManofSnow It's a redirect URI.

@hichris123 Okay, thanks

Basically it's where they redirect users to after they've authenticated and send it the OAuth data.

@ManofSnow Yeah, Redirect URI.
Doesn't matter much for client-side flow. You could use google.com if you want :P

@Undo What redirects to the OAuth Domain? When the user is authenticated or something?

6:32 PM
@ManofSnow SE does after the user is done logging in.

@hichris123 It must be interesting to be on the other side of things from time to time

@Undo I don't like that, I'm not planning on having this thing as a webapp

@ManofSnow You check for the redirect from the client side.
I do it in Stackboard, actually.
Have an iOS thing?

@Bart Wouldn't you love to be on that side sometimes? :P

@Undo Okay, thanks, so I guess it doesn't matter.

6:34 PM
Ha

@ManofSnow Have anything running iOS 6 or higher? I can give you a Stackboard promo code so you can see how I do it.

@Undo A phone, an iPod, and an iPod :)

@ManofSnow I can give you a Stackboard promo code if you want it.

@Undo What exactly is 'Stackboard'

user image
No @Pops, you're not crazy just because you still see that picture.

@Undo Since it costs money, then yes :P

@ManofSnow Come to the Android side!

Android > Apple :O

Apple > Android.

HERESY!

6:37 PM
Apple != anything

thumps Doorknob

Don’t call me a mindless philosopher, you overweight glob of grease.

Apple != people-who-make-emulator-that-takes-eight-minutes-to-start :P
@ManofSnow Ok, I have the code. How do you want me to get it to you?

@Undo The emulator only really takes thirty seconds or so once it's all settled and stuff :P

@Undo Android != crazy UX designs that are weird, and partially copy off of Android

6:38 PM
@Undo Email or PM

@hichris123 Uhmm... have you seen android before and after iOS?

I have an android emulator called 'bluestacks', and it takes ~10 minutes to start

^ Kinda interesting :P

6:39 PM
Before iOS
As stupid as palm

my spam detector is getting dusty :/ have the spammers given up?

They never do.

well, for now they seem to have

@DoorknobofSnow Maybe your spam thing sucks
Whenever I create spam posts, it's always logical

@ManofSnow it works! :P
there's just no spam to detect
...you create spam posts?

6:41 PM
Yes :P
I mean no

@ManofSnow Is that really your email address?

You guys have no proof

BAN HIM! :P

@Undo No, why does everyone think that?
Is that what it is when removing the X's?

6:42 PM

Remove the first '@'

@ManofSnow Because you say to remove all the XXX's and this is what you put: XXXvideogameXXX@cheatsultra.comXXX@gmail.XXX.coXXXm

^ That's the real first Android device

@ManofSnow because that's what it says in your profile perhaps? :/

On my meta profile :P
@Undo Remove the first '@'

6:42 PM
Sent

I'm kind of getting bored with no spam :P

:P

I keep waiting for the detector to say something!

@DoorknobofSnow Same. Give me something to do @Undo!

That extremely spammy post didnt get detected

6:44 PM
@ManofSnow which one?

@DoorknobofSnow The skeptics one

@ManofSnow that's because I didn't have "no spaces in title" filter yet
now I do

Because every spam post has no spaces

r={
    'Bad keyword': function(el, qTitle) { return /\b(?:\d{10}|vashikaran|baba)\b/i.test(qTitle) },
    'No spaces in title': function(el, qTitle) { return /$[^ ]+^/.test(qTitle) }
}
any other suggestions for filters?

Cant copy this :P You shouldve sent the email with only the code

6:46 PM
@ManofSnow then the spam filter might have whacked it.
@DoorknobofSnow Put java as a bad keyword too :P

@Undo :P Oh, maybe I'll have it detect tags in titles too!

If you want to see bad posts, just hang around the php tag
2

/$(java|php|c#|...):/
@ManofSnow lol :D

There's an easier way to do that, just get every tag from the page violating cross-domain, etc

6:48 PM
should take about 5 minutes to do all that
Want me to send code that gets every tag?

PHP is too narrow a window. If you want see bad posts, just hang around Stack Overflow.

there, added "tag in title" filter

@Undo Your app needs a search by tags new feature
When I sort by new it displays blank :P

@Man @Undo Isn't there going to be an official SE iOS app sometime soon?

Other than that it's okay...
@DoorknobofSnow I hope

6:53 PM
@DoorknobofSnow 6-8 weeks.

@Pops Lol, doesn't affect me because I use Android but I thought I saw it mentioned somewhere...

Honestly, just go online to the mobile site :P

"6-8 weeks" - Ah, the classics never get old.

@DoorknobofSnow Probably in the post announcing the Android app.

Should this be my OAuth page? pastebin.com/raw.php?i=zrc54e6i

6:54 PM
@jadarnel27 I just discovered that Googling "six to eight weeks" brings up the Many Memes of Meta as the first result.

ok, the bad question detector is running (now it detects more than spam so I don't know what to call it :P)

@Pops Wow... that's a good thing, right?

the spam/low quality-question-detector-izer

It's definitely a thing.

And you still haven't gotten me the spammer stats @Pops!

6:55 PM
Number of times hichris123 has asked for spammer statistics: 3

Gah sleep for 8 hours and the flags queue runs back up by 200 flags.

@Pops You want me to make a counter of it?

Look, I just met you halfway and provided a statistic.

@Pops I'd say he's spamming you

I said the spammer stats, not a stat. Can't read: NO HIRE.

6:58 PM
SPAM: Tag in title: stackoverflow.com/questions/21414420/… (Strange: property “set” in ASP.NET markup not actually being set)
oops
okay, so that's not a tag
I might have a problem with that filter
and it's not spam, but I just easily fixed that

Listen for a dash and then the tag name

Tag in title: expressionengine.stackexchange.com/questions/18830/… (Profile:edit - exp:profile:reset_password - form redirects to index.php)

or see if the tag name is the last word

yeah, this filter might not be the best idea
I'll make it require a space after the colon

The application icon 'must be hosted by stack exchange imgur account' - what does that mean?

7:02 PM
@ManofSnow it has to be http://i.stack.imgur.com/______.png

How do I upload a photo to i.stack.imgur?

@ManofSnow click "upload" right here in chat, or in a random post on any site

There should be a way without posting :P

Tag in title: stackoverflow.com/questions/21414550/… (Python: Write a function to identify the end of a sentence from a list of text)
yay, that one's actually right!

http://hichris.erwaysoftware.com/color.php?color=yourcolorhere
Options are green, white, yellow, black, brown, blue, cyan, purple, red

7:06 PM
Tag in title: stackoverflow.com/questions/21414580/… (Javascript: adding values to function as an object)
@hichris123 lol

@hichris123 In javascript you can simply do body.style.backgroundColor = txt; document.body.innerHTML = txt and if txt was 'blue' then the background would be blue and say blue

@ManofSnow Meh, I'm too lazy to do JS.

@hichris123 I'm too lazy to do php :P I hardly know anything about it

@DoorknobofSnow why those notifications?

7:09 PM
can't you just do <body style="background-color: <?= (get the parameter somehow) ?>">? @hichris

@ManofSnow I don't know hardly any JS.

Tag in title: stackoverflow.com/questions/21414620/… (vim: how to get to normal mode when vim/gvim lose focus)
@Bart because I made the spam detector detect more than spam :P

Why style why not just body bgcolor

I'm not sure tags in titles is a good idea for my detector though
because there's too many
and it might spam the room

@DoorknobofSnow Hmm, I guess you're right. Lemme try.

7:10 PM
Myeah, spam is just fine. But I don't really need to be notified of every tag in a title here in chat.

@Bart yeah, you're probably right. I'm going to remove it.
ok, removed

@DoorknobofSnow Yes.

@Undo I thought I read it somewhere. Do you have the link?

What's the name of that site?... ernysoftware or something?

@DoorknobofSnow Go to the blog.

7:11 PM
@DoorknobofSnow It's in the Android app announcement blog.

ah, ok.

David Fullerton on January 27, 2014

This mobile thing will never last, right? We figured if we waited long enough, this whole “mobile application” thing would blow over and everything would go back to the way it used to be. You know, when phones were for calling people, and computers were for typing long, angry rants about how things aren’t the way they used to be.

In retrospect, we may have misread that one a bit. It turns out that even for Stack Exchange mobile is eating the world.

So today we’re excited to announce that Stack Exchange for Android is finally available for download on the Google Play store, for Android phones version 4.0 (ICS) and up: …

I'm going to eat a yam with frogs, brb

hichris.erwaysoftware.com 'Welcome to the website! This website consists of a lot of random stuff.' NOT RANDOM
2

Doorknob must have some kind of random brb generator thingy.

7:14 PM
I am going to yam a frog with blurs, brb

@ManofSnow Heh, what you want me to make a random sentence generator?

@hichris123 I already did, it's in one of my apps
@hichris what's the charcoal website? I keep forgetting

@ManofSnow kingsford.com

@Undo You need an image for it :P I'm terrible at designing

7:17 PM
25 comment flags coming up...

@Undo I actually don't, I just say random things. Although that is a good idea... :D

Code = much cleaner now. Thanks @Doorknob! github.com/hichris1234/Server-website/blob/master/color.php

@hichris123 You're welcome ;)

It now supports all colors known to mankind. With capital letters!

7:20 PM
Why not use just $color instead of (($color=="white") ? 'black' : 'white')

@ManofSnow Cause white on white doesn't look pretty. :P

Make the text the color of the color
:P

@ManofSnow Then you couldn't see it! :P

I couldn't or I wouldn't

7:22 PM
@DoorknobofSnow What is that?

@hichris123 css color code :P

I almost feel like converting that then... but how?

Instead of using style, use bgcolor, so I can make chucknorris a color :)

@ManofSnow So demanding. I almost feel like giving you commit access, but it is my website's code. :P

7:26 PM
Updating 440f9dd..4f76c90

ummm oops
I mean here:

Really?
How'd you do it?

Oh, extra html...

no spam lately...

7:27 PM
...

I'm tempted to add the tag detection back :P
I'll add allcaps title detection

Use this as the code, please! <?php $color = $_GET["color"];
echo '<body bgcolor="$color'.">
<h1 style="font-size:80px; margin-top:100px; height:100%; text-align:center; font-family:sans-serif; color: ' . (($color=="white") ? 'black' : 'white') . ';">'.ucwords($color).'.</h1>
</body>';
?>

^ this, @hichris123

It'll let you use words like chucknorris as colors :D

added allcaps detection.

7:30 PM
There might be errors in the syntax
You get the idea
@Undo <?php
$color = $_GET["color"];
echo '<body bgcolor="'. $color .'">
<h1 style="font-size:80px; margin-top:100px; height:100%; text-align:center; font-family:sans-serif; color: ' . (($color=="white") ? 'black' : 'white') . ';">'.ucwords($color).'.</h1>
</body>';
?>

@Doorknob Try the URL again! :P
@Undo Why? (cc @ManofSnow).

@hichris123 It allows words like 'chucknorris'
Since it's not css
Missing digits are treated as 0[...]. An incorrect digit is simply interpreted as 0. For example the values #F0F0F0, F0F0F0, F0F0F, #FxFxFx and FxFxFx are all the same.

So is the only difference bgcolor instead of backgroundcolor?

So every word will be a 'color' :D
yes, and no style
It allows for every combination to work as a 'color'

yay!

I believe there is an automatic script for mods to handle comment flags as well...

What's the URL?

Nah, we're just not rate-limited when handling them like you are when casting them. ;P

@ManofSnow http://hichris.erwaysoftware.com/color.php?color=orange
@animuson You are! It's in the miliseconds, though.

That totally just bumped me up to 4.1k flags for the month.

Llama is greenish or whatever :P

in Charcoal HQ on The Stack Exchange Network Chat, Dec 30 '13 at 2:24, by ThiefMaster
with 4 comments per second it takes some time

7:36 PM
@animuson What? A person like you should be allowed to make trillions of flags a month

Flag handling stats - the moderators' reputation.

@animuson Give me a diamond! Plz!

@animuson Happy to help with your rep

7:38 PM
@animuson Doesn't count...
@Undo I fixed it. :D

for some reason this doesn't work either:
http://hichris.erwaysoftware.com/color.php?color=green%22%20onload=%22alert(%27hacked!%27)

@DoorknobofSnow He's checking with an if($color != strip_tags($color))

yes, but I don't have any tags
and I'm not getting the "nice try" message
it just doesn't alert -_-

@DoorknobofSnow Wait... that looks non-HTMLly.

Then don't use tags

7:42 PM
I'll do some close vote queue tasks now

@hichris123 They're entities

@DoorknobofSnow I think I'm getting somewhere: hichris.erwaysoftware.com/…;

I've already handled 402 flags today. I could totally take the rest of the day off.

@animuson or you could give your diamond to me and I could handle the rest...

@Undo Me too!

7:44 PM
Until you realize there's no automated script to handle 650 "other" flags?

@animuson I would handle all of them.
Every. Single. One.

@Undo Better? :P
if($color != strip_tags($color) || strpos($color,'style') !== false || strpos($color,'alert') !== false) {

Grrr.
Aaargh!

@DoorknobofSnow We should do something bad to his server.

7:46 PM
I have the power of commit access. :P

But I dunno if we can :P

Instead of typing alert

@Undo Please don't make me pay actual money.

Type al+ert
'al'+'ert'
:P

@hichris123 Hah, I won't :P

7:47 PM
Suppose I wanted to have a question I just casted the last close vote on to be deleted, now. Would that be possible?

brb, the monkeys won't stop chirping on the ice

You realize I could (somehow) IP ban you from my site @Undo & @Doorknob? :P

@hichris123 That's not enough, they'd turn off proxy
Ban their Mac Addresses!

@ManofSnow I don't have it. :(
