@DavidPostill did you report after deleting it?

@ShadowTheKidWizard naw, he knows how SD works

@Catija OK, turns out it's on purpose, and still accessible.
@JourneymanGeek maybe was in a hurry, lol. So other mod deleted while he was posting the message here? ;)

I don't know about the timeline but another mod did delete the post

@ShadowTheKidWizard It's not working! Should I blame caching?. I didn't realise it had already been reported and it was gone when I tried to.

Mod fight!

Quick question for Chrome users for a repro: if you go to SEDE, create a new query ( print 'hello' should work) and then run it, under the edit box a link called "permalink" should appear. Can you click it?
I can in FF, not in Chrome.
I wonder if it is just me again ...

7:32 AM
@rene SEDE?

@DialFrost this: data.stackexchange.com

Oh I see

7:46 AM
@rene yes, Chrome 104, Windows 10

Hmmm. So something is borked at my end. Weird

8:33 AM
@rene no.
Reproduced here, and even found the source of the bug:
The div "hides" the link, so it can't be clicked.
Removing the padding-bottom from that div fix the bug and let me click the link.
@TimStone you still develop SEDE?

Yeah, that is indeed the problem I see as well. I've looked at the recent commits that went live and none of them touch that code mirror CSS or any other CSS for that matter.
So it almost looks like some regression in Chrome.

@MetaAndrewT. it's confusing, because when you click it, you set focus to the text area and the whole page "jump" up, as if reloaded, but it's not. See the URL which is not changing.

@ShadowTheKidWizard I can make the change if I want to but I need to be sure it is not an issue that only I have as that might cause regression for other users.

@rene yeah, won't be a big surprise.

Also weird that I can't repro in FF. Can you try that @ShadowTheKidWizard ?

8:39 AM
@rene well, there are the two of us, let's see about Andrew
@rene I don't have FF
I have Final Fantasy actually, not Firefox. :D

What? How can you work without Firefox?

But different browsers renders things in different way so no surprise.
@rene happily
:D
0% of the clients use FF, so it's easy.
Some use IE/Edge but were convinced to also use Chrome for our websites.
When I checked anon visitors usage, few years ago, FF was well below 1% so...
(on our public sites ^)
I have a feeling though, that @mousetail might have FF and can help us out. ;)
@rene you join me here?
:D

8:55 AM
@ShadowTheKidWizard what is on the menu?

I'll have number 45
@rene this discussion can continue in the SEDE room.

@rene that's not numbers, it's the price. :P
For 45 NIS you get green salad with tahini. :D

Oh, I'll be eating my cousin :/

9:16 AM
@ShadowTheKidWizard How TF do you know

@ShadowTheKidWizard Okay, that is pretty weird. I go to blackbarburger.co.il/menus/not-kosher only to find the menu is still an image. Luckily there is an accessibility tool on the right-handside that allows me to have the page be optimized for a screen-reader. The menu remains an image with no alt text. How much torture do we have to endure before it becomes a criminal act?

9:57 AM
@ShadowTheKidWizard can you try with Edge as well and report in the SEDE room? Thanks.

@ShadowTheKidWizard it's changing for me, but I'm continuing the test on SEDE room

1 hour later…
11:04 AM
hmm
@ShadowTheKidWizard with regards to the edit you rolled back... I didn't care that much about whether I got the tracking link bits in, but... I didn't know you could /q/12345 for linking, nor do I have any idea why anyone would put in the extra work to do it :D

1 hour later…
12:06 PM
ugh
So I need a screenshot showing 3-4 edits in a small screen
unfortunately, SE's too smart and my edits are getting mushed together into the same revision
unless I wait 5 minutes
its clever but annoying

12:25 PM
@mousetail Shadow Virus
@rene rofl! But yeah it's an image which made it easier to share actually. :D
That said, you can use Google to translate images, let me check...
hmm looks like they support it only via Lens on a phone. :/
@JourneymanGeek it was useless edit that did not improve anything, no idea why it was approved. Did it more as a sign "that's a useless edit".
Also think it changed formation of a sentence in some weird way.

It was a slightly strange edit

Yeah, not something I'll approve, and better keep and eye on that editor.

1:13 PM
fixed the link

1:37 PM
reversed my vote then
