@tripleee I got thrown to the Q, so I assume its gone

yup
I got the last one in
28 messages moved to Chimney

I'm curious, how do y'all do the Chimney archiving? Do you use an archiver script or is it manual?

Q: Chat Move Helper / Bot Cleanup Tool

Jason C Description: Extends the room-owner move message tool in chat to make it easier to quickly clean up after bots by moving their messages, commands, and replies to them. Adds a couple visualization features to the normal move function as well. I hope this is useful, I know there's a number...

and manually adjust to include / exclude other messages

I think I'm currently using @Glorfindel's one but yeah

Ah nice, makes sense

8:35 AM
no, I didn't write that :)

SOCVR has the Archiver script but there's...quite a bit more traffic there

hm
I AM using that one

it is nice in that it'll pick up stuff like [flag-pls] and also check whether Smokey reports are deleted/marked FP (at least if you also have certain other scripts installed, for the latter), as well as cleaning up replies to Smokey reports

I blame the rona. Might as well :D
@RyanM the flag requests are a new things
I do a manual check before cleaning up

Makes sense

8:39 AM
Not extensive but good enough

Yeah, certainly enough for the volume of such messages here
in SOCVR it's...very much another story :D

Well it was designed for here
and we arn't mainly a close vote/flagging room

Of course, I completely agree

But yeah, it would be nice if it could do that

9:18 AM
if you feel that I'm stretching by posting these flag-pls requests here, I can easily stop doing that; just let me know
my reasoning is mainly that if you have invited Smokey here, you would also want to see the posts that it would have reported if its accuracy was higher
the bumps are more of a stretch, it's nice to be able to summon a few more flags when spam lingers on a site for a long time, but we have lived fine without escalating those in the past too

^^ wow that spam at -7 and still up
@journ do your thing and throw a nuke will you ;)

boom
thanks (-:

Spammer? I 'ardly knew er

9:57 AM
already gone

11:46 AM
@tripleee appear to be both gone, this one looks suspicious too though, from the same post: graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/a/144731/158352

I'm hesitant to report that as spam, no link and the question basically invites recommendations

@Feeds That would make a lot more money than your prior suggestion: chat.meta.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/9125101#9125101

Weird question of the day, will try on SO chat otherwise. Anyone knows how VS 2022 picks the typescript version it uses for providing intellisense?
I have Typescript 3.8 in pakage.config, yet the editor does not recognize the optional chaining .? syntax added in ts 3.7

No idea...

We’ve talked about psychological safety and continuous learning; Stack Overflow for Teams can help with both.

@JourneymanGeek best I can find is this
seems to indicate that it should just work with the npm reference

Seems worth a question

@JourneymanGeek yep, I will try that I guess. Maybe it will be the first time I get an actual answer in about three years ^_^'

@SPArcheon 3 years < 6-8 so you should be fine xD

@Luuklag -_-

I was about to say, I hear there's a site where you can ask questions like that outside of chat ;-)

Q: How does Visual Studio 2022 determine which TypeScript version to target for Intellisense purposes

SPArcheonI am using Visual Studio 2022 to work on an existing solution that contains a web project with a node app. The app is configured in the package.json file to use the TypeScript 3.8.3 npm package. In a TypeScript file I am using the optional chaining syntax that should be supported since TypeScript...

@RyanM yes, now all it takes is for you to answer :P

@SPArcheon My Studio is more Android than Visual, I'm afraid :-p

unfortunately (fortunately?) i use visual studio code, not full on visual studio
control typscript on a project by project basis via what is installed with npm

@KevinB problem is that base on their own docs, VS 2022 should do the same.
> Projects configured for npm can specify their own version of the TypeScript language service by adding the TypeScript npm package.

Q: New official secondary domain: stackoverflow.co

David Longworthtl;dr We’ll be using stackoverflow.co as our main domain name for marketing activities - all products on stackoverflow.com will stay the same. We’ll start transitioning today with /company, and the product marketing pages and other supporting services over the coming weeks. We’re doing some hous...

@Mithical oh wow. i wonder how much harm this does to people (who are usually being told that typo domain == most likely phishing) recognizing actual malicious typosquatting sites..
