@JourneymanGeek RE meta.stackexchange.com/questions/375054/…: I wanted to set a precedent that users should include details in posts themselves, rather than depending on others to add in information for them. This felt like a pattern from the filer in question and I wanted to try and stop it.
@RyanM It didn't specify that the bug was with the inline editor initially. If I tested on a site where I had <2k rep, I wouldn't be able to reproduce and would be left hanging
To be clear, most of the time, I do edit others' reports to make them clearer. I just felt a pattern of the user depending on others to fill in details for them while making their own reports unclear, and wanted to put a stop to that.
For if they later file another such unclear report about a true issue but no one deciphers the correct steps to reproduce, there's a true bug report that goes down the drain.
Dunno. Not going to wait, still waiting on one to come look at the toilet. I'm going to move the washing machine tonight so I can reach the ceiling spot that has mold and just douse it in bleach myself.
@Luuklag I think it's just that the apartment is really wet, yeah. I can't get the humidity in it to go below 45%, even with the mechanical fans on all day.
And we've just had a span of really wet weather too, it was even worse then. 50% humidity was a good day.
Showering, taking a bath, cleaning, cooking... and I still don't have a pavement outside so I need to hang the laundry inside too... it all makes the humidity spike even more.
On the plus side, the mechanical ventilation is a great white noise generator.
And 'elk voordeel heb zijn nadeel'.... it's great white noise when you're trying to sleep, it's also not that annoying when working... but when you try to watch some TV, it's 'strontirritant'
@JourneymanGeek Technically, I don't think it should've been a problem. A bathroom should be made for hot showers, long steamy baths, and drying clothes shouldn't be much of a problem then either, especially not if you use the mechanical ventilation (and I did that, run it for an hour once I just took the stuff out of the machine)
@Luuklag Oh, I'm not using anything fancy... I just put it on a rack to dry!
@Luuklag I mostly find that a waste of energy (and thus, money). I have a washing machine that can also do the drying, I've used it three or four times now for the bedsheets as they're too big for the rack. But it costs a lot of energy and you need to iron everything after. And it's not feeling as 'fresh' as stuff that's been outside in the wind drying for a while :(
I'll see about buying airconditioning after this summer. No use spending a lot of money on that if I can just keep the apartment cool enough with screens and the heatpump.
@Tinkeringbell meh I don't ever Iron our bedsheets, I just put them right back on the bed. No use in ironing them when they'll be crackled right after.
Yes, the laundry in general. But I did iron the bedsheets, because it's really, really, really bad when it comes out of the drying cycle, so bad even I can't recreate it by sleeping.
