When two accounts are merged, all the posts/votes are moved over to the "primary" account, and the other account ("sock"?) is deleted. The merge is propagated network-wide, so a similar thing happens on each site.
But, this does not happen to the chat user. The "sock" chat user is kept, with a 40...
I no longer use the service that I originally used to register, and would like to change the service I use to log in, or at least add a second account.
Is this possible? How do I change my login provider or associate a backup method to log in?

Well - Its kinda a pile of related things that all cause me stress. I'm kinda reluctant to quit cause matchmaking was on hold when I didn't have a job. But I'm not getting anywhere anyway. And I'm too exhausted to do matchmaking stuff or look for another job

So getting suspected covid, and getting stuck in my room or a hotel for a month might not be too bad.
Getting actual covid is going to be variable levels of utter suck :D
But I wear a mask, carry a contact tracing token, and avoid going out unless absolutely necessary, mostly cause I'm too wiped out to do anything so... my risk is low :D
(heck, part of the issue now is we're lending one staff member to another understaffed team to cross train so... we're even worse off - and the solution is... more night shifts)

Basically they take the sample, do some stuff to extract the genetic material they are interested in, and add chemicals to detect...
its pretty much the gold standard but pricy, so they tend to batch up lots of samples, and essentially do a binary search if they find there's a positive test result in the batch
ART is "Antigen Rapid test"
They mix your nose swab sample with a buffer, and pop it on some filter paper that has 'ink' that reacts with certain chemicals

@Wolgwang The user had posted more than 999 messages, so their chat profile wasn't automatically deleted when all their main site accounts were deleted.
@Glorfindel I think a bug cropped up in your Wilson confidence rating script. It's now inserting Wilson links even after links to other posts' timelines in post bodies, not only after the one under the vote count. As an example, in the last paragraph of this post, the first part shows up as "This questionWilson" with the script enabled.
