The only "change" is that between "March 16th until April 30th" moderators will be accepting flags to red-tag questions (bug / feature) if they deem them appropriate, rather than leaving that to CMs. Before the 16 continue posting questions, during the test flag too.

Q: Good day. Want to ask

Joy JecielIve been sentenced. And in prison in singapore for 2 months and 1 week for the computer misuse. I want to know if how long is my banned for entering singapore?can someone answer me.i really want to know if i still can enter singapore. Thanks

Is a 67-day jail sentence even feasible?

3:09 AM
more surprising is that they can still conspire over the Internet

Rob
3:25 AM
@M.A.R. No, sentences shorter than this are unfeasible:
Chamoy Thipyaso is the wife of a high-ranking member of the Royal Thai Air Force and an employee of the Petroleum Authority of Thailand. She is known for receiving the world's longest prison sentence of 141,078 years for her involvement in a pyramid scheme that defrauded more than 16,000 Thais and is estimated to have been worth between $200–300 million. == Mae Chamoy Fund == In the late 1960s Thipyaso started a chit fund called the Mae Chamoy Fund (Mae being the Thai word for Mother), which was made to look like an oil share with high returns. Due to Thipyaso's connections with the Air Force...

@M.A.R. maybe more than one count

4:52 AM
@Rob Not quite. For questions posted before the test, flags will only be accepted if the question falls within certain topic areas. For questions posted within the test, on the other hand, any topic area will be accepted.

These may be uncertain times, so we’ve all got questions. And on Stack Overflow and our exchanges, we’ve got a ton of great questions with fantastic answers. This week, we compare SSH with HTTPS, practice good document hygiene, and wonder if it would be dark inside the sun.  Why is SSH safer than HTTPS on…

Are we still saying not to panic, and that the isolation is working fine? ;)
I don't think we need panic, but listening to experts and science, rather than praying, maybe a good start.

@djsmiley2kTMW experts here say the isolation and quarantine of millions of people isn't helpful at this point. Nobody listens to them.
Starting today, all schools in Israel are closed.
@Mithical Tuesday?? Guess it's fine, it's a day in the week. ;)

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou yeah
closing schools is the weirdest bit
1. kids aren't really effected by it, but sure could be carriers
2. if they're not in school, and their parents are still working - who's going to look after them?
3. the most effected are the elderly
4. for the answer to 2., see 3.
Almost like lots of goverments are actually trying to kill off their ageing populations.
The UK had the huge jump in cases I was predicting....
next up, the US I think.

US already closed their gates, I think?

Also, Italys infection counts (new infections) will start dropping in ~3 weeks
@ShadowWizardisEarForYou yes, and it's too late.

@djsmiley2kTMW of course, it's like a fire: once the fuel is over, the fire will die on its own.
@djsmiley2kTMW well couple of kids and even a baby got infected here.

4:19 PM
Oh they're not immune
they're just seemingly less effected by it

@djsmiley2kTMW parents, which means parents won't go to work, lose money, and the finance as whole get hurt badly.
@djsmiley2kTMW yes so far (knock on wood!!) death rate for children is 0%, world wide.

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou Kids are the future!

And 80+ gets 15% death rate..... almost like it's on purpose... reading Inferno again
Someone needs to decode the virus.
Find the source code and track it down to whoever wrote it. ;)

lol
ON purpose? hahaha
evolution would create a virus like this.
infact it already does.
see: most virus's that kill old people
this is just more.... spreadable due to the lack of immunity.

@djsmiley2kTMW Ontario is closing all public schools after march break
So the 1 week march break will become a 3 week march break.

4:26 PM
@djsmiley2kTMW you say 0% of bio weapon going out by mistake?

The reasoning is pretty sound: They don't trust people not to travel during March break, so they want everybody isolated for two weeks following.

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou 0% chance? No

i mean, closing schools certainly has a major impact on a lot, working parents, for example, but schools are also one place where these kinds of things spread like wildfire. Kids may not be affected by it as badly as adults, but they can certainly still spread it... and that's why closing schools can help lessen the burden on hospitals. It's likely to still spread regardless, but hopefully at a slower rate that'll be more manageable.

I'm saying the likelyhood that evolution could create this virus is very high.
See: Spanish Flu
or was that also a bioweapon? XD

lol
Maybe aliens
waving to Dark E.T.

4:28 PM
@user400654 schools COULD do scheduled hand washing for all kids too
which certainly won't happen in some homes

Err, that's not going to help. You can't ask a class of grade 1 students to wash their hands effectively for 20 seconds.

@djsmiley2kTMW nah won't work with kids. Also that's not what will stop Corona.

@user229044 so are they closing all workplaces too?
@user229044 my 3 yr old knows how to wash his hands effectively.

No, but a lot of work places are allowing remote work

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou .... then we're screwed, because that's the advice right now.

4:29 PM
@djsmiley2kTMW then touch something dirty 20 seconds later?

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou yes if I've not cleaned the house
but that's true at home or school

@djsmiley2kTMW That's . . . not good news

@djsmiley2kTMW smart advice, but it's just taking a ride on the virus.
Like all those saying "Be good to each other".
It's nice and good, but not relevant for the virus itself.

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou I'll ve sure to tell the doctors not to bother.

none of it will stop the virus, stopping it isn't the goal
slowing it is

4:31 PM
@djsmiley2kTMW doctors don't wash our hands and they can't cure the virus. :)

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou also, spending time outside helps
UV kills everything :D

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou FWIW, common cold doesn't have a "cure".
Treatment != cure

@M.A.R. neither does cancer, lets give up now.
clearly no point to anything
/me shrugs

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou Be good to each other. Hugs, and kisses . . .

4:32 PM
haha

@djsmiley2kTMW different thing

Living cells become cancerous

Does Ebola have a cure?

Viruses aren't alive, so you can't kill them

4:32 PM
Milaria
influenza

@djsmiley2kTMW That's complicated
@djsmiley2kTMW It has vaccines

we treat all the symtoms and hope for the best, mostly.

@djsmiley2kTMW Never bothered to check
@djsmiley2kTMW Well yeah, that's what I'm saying too

lol I know
we've been agreeing all along :P
I get very sarcastic when i feel like my opponent hasn't got a clue about how to have a constructive discussion.

It's just that "there is no cure" has been this popular scare, like OH NOES V R D00M
@djsmiley2kTMW Constructive discussions are overrated
What have they ever done for us.

4:35 PM
breaking the discussion with @djsmiley with 2K hammers
:P

HAMMER ABUSE!

/me dances back and forth

@ShadowWizardisEarForYou SE so hostility, much wow

@M.A.R. wow hostility, much so SE

5:10 PM
@djsmiley2kTMW Ebola has a vaccine, I know this because it was made in Canada :)
Also FYI, Canada has a Coronavirus vaccine in the testing phase
... We're apparently super good at vaccines.
There were a bunch of memes on Reddit along the lines of "Coronavirus: Interrupts hockey seasons; Canada: Hold my beer"

@user229044 I believe you're even better at putines ;-)
Sorry, couldn't resist ...

... like, the Russian guy?
Or the delicious cheesy fries and gravy, poutine?

@user229044 Sorry for the typo, I meant poutines of course.

5:26 PM
well, that typo got you banned in Russia ;)

:-D
I believe that russian guy likes to end up in a glass coffin like Lenin.

@user229044 So do a dozen other countries, so I've heard
But the virus is still more like "they see me rollin'"

Yeah, it's going to be many months before a vaccine is through testing and available to the public

@user229044 I'd probably rather like to die from a cholesterol overflow than Covid-19. You don't have a vaccine for the 1st one, do you?

Asparagus

@rene If that's really spam, it at least comes in pretty well done disguise.

@πάνταῥεῖ I've hammered that question
