Do you guys think Shog09 is going to come back here at some point? I haven't seen him around lately but I remember he was here one time a few months ago
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog Shadow's Den has a bot that does the 7 minute room freezes? What's the criteria for freezing? Or is it just at a certain time each day?
@user1271772 It posts messages after 1 hour of languishment, then 2 hours, then 4 hours, then 8, 16, etc.... The criteria for freezing is 14 days of no messages whatever (including bots, excluding system users like Feeds).
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog haha, funny that the question this duplicated to didn't even have any answers!! I thought it used to say "This question already has an answer [here]" .... now they changed that to the less specific "This question was marked as an exact duplicate of an existing question" because of MaryLou ?
@user1271772 Nope, the notice changes if the dupe target has no answers. Notice how the link is prefaced with "This question is an exact duplicate of" instead of the normal one.
@Mari-LouA Sorry, still think it's duplicate. If someone knows the answer for sure, they can add answer to the other question. — Shadow Wizard1 min ago
@ShadowWizard actually, on first appearance it seems it does. But if you think about it more carefully, it doesn't. Glorfindel doesn't know. There are no sources or references to support his open-ended answer.
Considering that you can't add a bounty for two days and the HNQ algorithm is heavily weighted towards questions with many answers posted shortly after the question is asked, I think that a bounty would have little impact on HNQ appearance unless the bounty caused many answers to be added to the question. Nothing in the algorithm takes a bounty into consideration, though.
@ShadowWizard Well, I was advised to do so by the charcoal admins to show improvements for my SD decisions, to get my privileges re-enabled again. Hopefully they track that somehow :P
I think they're smarter than that :P You could keep bountying rep away and collecting swag. But if they do... @ShadowWizard can I bribe you to go below and back to 100k once more and then send me that third swag packet? :P
@πάνταῥεῖ Actually, I made the oldest one a big pink flamingo and a hammerhead shark keychain. The youngest has had several crochet turtles and a pikachu by now ;)
I'm also tasked with potholders for the oldest now, as he's moving out soon ;)
@rene Yeah, if no dupe had been proposed, I would have voted it "off-topic, doesn't appear to seek input and discussion..."
But I feel a dupe closure is overall more friendly than a normal closure. One time, I came across a question with two dupe votes and two off-topic votes, and since I could effectively choose the close reason myself I opted for dupe.
Hi. I had a query - my "Activity" page (on my profile) shows "21 downvotes" cast ("all time"). But on the downvote tab in the "votes cast" page it shows "You have not cast any votes". Is it because the posts I downvoted were subsequently deleted?
It's definitely not true for betas as the privileges on betas are all achieved by 7k, not 25k.
If you can see deleted posts, you can see the vote split, just like on undeleted posts. You can never see who cast a vote, though.

For graduated sites it is 25k; for beta sites it is 5k and not 7k (?) afaik i.e. the reputation needed to achieve all user privileges. By "view votes" I mean viewing which deleted posts I had cast upvote/downvote(s) on, on the "downvotes" tab in the "votes cast" page of my profile.
user405243
@Catija Ah. So that's never shown on the "downvotes" tab, right (Irrespective of the reputation) ?
user405243
Basically I wanted to see which posts I had downvoted which were also subsequently deleted. Guess that's not possible then
@Blue I don't think that tab is a privilege, regardless of site type... I see deleted posts on mine but that could be because I have diamonds everywhere, not standard views.
I haven't quite figured out yet what is what and I never used that page previously. I don't really track my vote history.
user405243
I see. I suppose we'd have to wait for a high-rep non-mod to confirm whether they can see deleted posts on their "downvotes" tab :P.
user405243
Oh, and I like to keep a track of my voting history. It's fun to review which posts I had upvoted/downvoted say 6 months ago.
