The downside of kind of being involved in one of the top 10 most expensive property markets, is that, even being a tiny, loserish developer owning lands, when someone come up to you, telling you he is a millionaire. You kind of think "but a million dollars can't buy you a shed in poorer side of the town, if you want to tell me you are rich, at least say that you are multi-millionaire"? - I don't care about money all that much, but having money apparently is a really good way to shut people up

@YvetteColomb Project Management 101: Tell people what to do, check their progress, conclude they didn't do anything you asked them, assign blame, rinse and repeat.

And still somehow project managers get paid well. It's beyond me ...

The best project I worked on - was one I managed and also wrote much of the code on. There was little that needed managing. I knew what the client needed and we implemented it, after two other businesses had failed with incompetent project managers who didn't understand programming
