It's complicated. I think that trying to look at "too many" LinkedIn profiles while being logged out results in them hiding everything on the page behind login banner. Going to the same profile from a different IP shows its public part.

Facebook used to have super-obnoxious login banner fixed in the middle of page, but now it appears to be much smaller and is not fixed anymore.

Now, even if your system works, there's some information we can see (and even more that the CM team can see) so if its really effective, its really got to be tied into the existing tooling.

Also, even if we found it, we'd still need a CM to, well, do the needful.

Was there any occurence where serial upvoting was really dangerous (as in abusing privilege), or they just want their imaginary point only..?

@Success People use it to get out of post bans, to be able to post comments, to apply for jobs and use their rep as some form of qualification, some universities have assignments to get a certain amount of rep

I try to help but end up costing a bunch of people a lot of time instead often times

@JourneymanGeek because it's not one user upvoting another user in this case, it's the case of the tag voting

which I'm currently assembling proof for in the Lit mod room so you can't see :p

Suspensions usually progress 1 week -> 1 month -> 1 year. I thought a while back that "1 quarter" was missing in between. Maybe it was added as a standard option? Here is a 1-quarter suspension.

@Desire Mods can override the time however they like. I've given people single day suspensions to cool off... If I want to give a 42 day suspension or an 90 day that's my call... The system defaults to those numbers but you don't have to go with them. Remember, though... we usually give warnings in addition, so it's generally not going to be just three events that get you a one-year ban.
