Too bad, such a sad fate for the Latvian dream.

12:18 AM
We had the first question: the professor asked "why is there a copyright on your presentation?"
(the copyright mentioned some publishing company, not the students)

user315433
The important question, how are the projects licensed?

user315433
Is it MIT or something else?

user315433
note to self: at the end of an incomprehensible presentation, when nobody has any questions to ask, raise a licensing question

user315433
The Nobody Cares license is pretty good. I believe this is the current license for SE content: meaning there is a license but nobody cares what it is.

user315433
Moving from NC to MIT would not be an improvement.

user202362
12:34 AM
@JonEricson meaning that you were in Houston for a long time?

@Telkitty Nope. I was working at JPL, which is just over the hills in Pasadena.

user202362
Somalia would be good place to launch space shuttle ... physically, coz on the equator

So.. I'm in the top 20%. And, I'm questioned banned again after a positive contribution.
This network is a gigantic pile poop.

@Telkitty Kinda hard to beat Florida: plenty of infrastructure, ocean and rotational velocity.

How did that get me a question ban? The SE Employees even thought it was a good idea. That's the kind of stuff we're supposed to be doing.

It's not the only thing I do. The last question I asked was upvoted positively. It was the only thing I did in like six months. And, StackExchange employees agreed with me.
I think this service needs a ground-up rewrite in Haskell. Haskell programmers understand math and can create algorithms without such glaring flaws.

@EvanCarroll it didn't. You've been question banned on MSE for ages.
But due to changes in the rules, you're now allowed one question every 6 months even if banned.
That was your one.

What a bunch of nonsense.. So regardless of the reputation on that one question I've got a quota?!?! Bwahhaah is crack a company expense at Stack Exchange?
That's golden in all right ways.

user202362

"We build a QA site that let's the community decide if they like questions and answers, and then we tell them to shove their voice right up their ... and go ahead with a lasting ban regardless of how the community uses upvotes and downvotes."
Where is the venture capitalist that funds this outlet, I need a sucker.

user202362
Why do you think there are so many mods and CMs, they are there to bang ban you. Since there aren't many bannable people, they made it harder to ban users. But still, their jobs are to ban people, they must find a way to ban someone, otherwise their lives would be meaningless. Maybe you appear to be more bannable than everyone else?

user202362
1:10 AM
@EvanCarroll also, not calling you dumb or anything, why do you always choose playgrounds on which you would be disadvantaged?

user315433

Not really interesting, just an advanced version of Yahoo Answers.

@EvanCarroll you are Q banned right, lemme tell ya how you can get out of it - find the person/ppl responsible to your banning, send love letters to their email address every 8 hours for a week, your ban will be lifted after 7 days

December, 1. Winterbash countdown still missing.
!!/hats

@Derpy WE LOVE HATS! Winter Bash will begin in 17 days, 13 hours, 42 minutes, and 45 seconds.

this reminds me I should switch to some winter avatars too.
I was waiting for the hats to see if there is anything that could fit well together
I wonder if the hats are already finalized or they are still running and waiting for the pictures.
@rene well, it depends on how "gullible" the user is and how well made the (possible) phishing attempt is

@Derpy they'll probably fool us with fake hats at first, knowing we like to spoil things ...

that is granted, but I am not running for that. I was just asking myself if they are still adding last minute hats in or what.

@Derpy sure, it might help the innocent a bit but given the current rate at which sites can be created, moved and taken down, I hardly believe such list is going to be useful in the log run. For the same reason that other list got skipped. I mean, the cloud with its virtualization is great, but not for this aspect.
@Derpy given that everything takes 6 to 8 weeks and that work probably started last week, some people are running on coffee only to meet the hats-line ...

6 to 8 should be turned in an hat someday.
requiring posting a comment containing the string "6 to 8" on a feature request meta post.

It seems the word "byte" is where we see the most exotic SI prefixes nowadays. Suggests there should be a non standard unit for such cases, like AU and light-year for distances.

Seriously, a pre-countdown to the hats countdown should be a thing. Using last year's code, for example. I wouldn't mind seeing again that 7-segment people-walking digit display in half a page of JS code...

@Jon too is a very nice person. ;)

@ShadowWizard Actually, it was still about candies. If I wanted to go for the cuteness induced diabetes I would have used something like Flutterwonder.

I'm going to make Stack Exchange great again.
@EvanCarroll Your net score (all questions and answers) is what's being considered here, and I thought we fixed that. It's okay to go back a year, but the dawn of time (or account creation) is a little grudgey. I'm sending over a request to (1) verify that I'm not insane, and that we really did fix this and (2) find out why it appears to be unfixed, it'll be next week unfortunately, but thanks for letting me know. — Tim Post ♦ 3 hours ago
