@SantaClaus yup

nice

@bjb568 You. Missed. Math. Questions?

Ok, I'll see what I missed.

I didn't get anything back on my finals ;-;

Flipped a negative sign, computation error involving 2 digit x 2 digit multiplication by hand, stupid triangle proportion wizardry problem, used wrong variable when working with system of equations to find volume of 3D object.
Yeah, they're easy problems, but I'm not a machine.

> Our records indicate you have not taken any College Board assessments.
... yay.

@bjb568 We literally got the exact same scores, 1450, 740, 710
@hichris123 Did you just create an account? It takes a few minutes to link them

@SantaClaus nope, way old account.

@hichris123 Hmm, as long as your info is the same as what you put on the test I think they get linked automatically

I think the email might've been different. But I still got an email from College Board saying my scores would be available on Jan. 7th.

They will apperantly be emailing access codes out to students whose didn't get linked automatically
@bjb568 I forgot you were in my grade

12:23 AM
@SantaClaus I take everything with more than a few grains of salt.

I'm supposed to get my university application results in a few days

I think I'll refrain from flagging those for a while

I'd say just flag it. Showing spam to uninformed user is more "dangerous" than "never seeing it".

I'm not sure, if you see how spam get's handled on sites where users are not used to see it, I think a bit training would be helpful ...

There's already FAQ on MSE about spam, and there's a similar post on some child meta (e.g. Drupal).

I know, that's not my point. Most users won't even know about meta, will not have seen one of those spam post due to the fast handling ... wouldn't it be useful if the get the ability to handle it on there own, learn what spam is and how to handle it?

8:40 AM
I bet most regulars from their community have learnt about spam, but there's not enough manpower (unless diamond mod is online)

Even on my site, I think there's only 3 (including me) active users at this time, not enough to nuke the spam...

Indeed android seems to have little active users , but on SU many of the active ones do not identify spam the above is a good example, most won't follow the link and even if the don't know drivethelive as spammer.
Should we leave comments ...?

8:46 AM
I thought so, but then the comments gone with the spam, reaching only 6 flaggers + others that cannot flag.
Better to post on their meta, but then again... as you've said, not many people even know meta exist.

I wonder if I will have to redo that worksheet
B is a programming language developed at Bell Labs circa 1969. It is the work of Ken Thompson with Dennis Ritchie. B was derived from BCPL, and its name may be a contraction of BCPL. Thompson's coworker Dennis Ritchie speculated that the name might be based on Bon, an earlier, but unrelated, programming language that Thompson designed for use on Multics. B was designed for recursive, non-numeric, machine independent applications, such as system and language software. == History == Initially Ken Thompson and later Dennis Ritchie developed B basing it mainly on the BCPL language Thompson used in...

@rekire So what are you looking for to call it positive?

7:11 PM
@Jhawins eh... Isn't it called the positive was wrong

@Jhawins tp

.....what haha

If we add tpu or k, the user will also get blacklisted.

I mean what would you consider a 'true positive'

@Jhawins Spam or blatant gibberish.

7:13 PM
I have in mind a bill checker with rejection rates and so on there are true positives, false positives, true negative and false negatives...

Smokey isn't to catch VLQ posts; it's to catch spam and whatever Undo broke.

@rekire Makes sense. I was just asking what the criteria for a true positive is i.e. what you are looking for, because that was a super low quality question and will be closed soon but you marked it false positive so I was confused.
I understand now

@Jhawins I see now what you mean. I had in perspective mostly spam. It will been closed soon sure, but no reason to put the user on a backlist or something similar

Yeah I was just unfamiliar with the objective behind SD.

Yeah well, the intention wasn't spamming or abusing the system, so no point in sniping the user.

7:16 PM
Yep makes total sense. I was only asking for what would justify bringing the hammer down :P

@Jhawins well I'm no expert I added myself to the script view days ago, so I make maybe things wrong^^ But I guess I understood it more or less :)

hammer all the things

@balpha Wow. Kudos. That's a really, really chic design you did there!

7:32 PM
@Ϻ.Λ.Ʀ. little of that credit goes to me; @Paweł did the design

Well, y'all did a very very good job.

@SterlingArcher What's wrong with just listening to the load event?
function request(uri, callback, params) {
	var i = new XMLHttpRequest();
	i.open('POST', uri, true);
	i.setRequestHeader('Content-type', 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded');
	i.send(params);
	i.onload = function() {
		callback(this.status == 204 ? 'Success' : this.responseText);
	};
	return i;
}
That's what I use ^

I also thought the code in Zirak's gist was really odd..

… it doesn't even set async to true.
JSONP is insecure and doesn't work with CSP.

@bjb568 event listeners man, use them

7:41 PM
@Quill addEventListener('load', func) is equivalent to onload = func

not really:
you can't pass a function reference to onload

But I'm not…

me is searching for popcorn. this can get interesting

well yes you kind of are

I'm using an anonymous function literal, so it doesn't matter which form of event listener I use.

7:42 PM
function foo(){
    console.log(arguments);
}
...
window.onload = foo;
not valid
also Event Listeners you can have multiple on an event

… I don't need that.

Yawns

What exactly doesn't work about this?

I was thinking of onclick never mind
224
Q: addEventListener vs onclick

William ShamWhat's the difference between addEventListener and onclick? var h=document.getElementById("a"); h.onclick=dothing1; h.addEventListener("click", dothing2); The code above resides together in a separate .js file, and they both work perfectly.

> and they both work perfectly.
That's… just how functions work. You can, like, use them.

7:46 PM
