@hichris123 What?
I just don't understand what you said.

postgone vs. gone doesn't matter. Gone is preferable, since it removes the whole report. There's no use in identifying which spammers are still around.

@hichris123 Postgone also removes the report.

it edits the message - it doesn't delete it.

Whatever, it's not like I'm having a special feeling for or against it.

Uh... PSA = no feelings toward or against? ;P

Mhm
At least in my case.

This month the word "PSA" is associated with downvotes.

Not blacklisting the user; just seems to be a rant to me. The user might come back to contribute legitimately.

I am baffled by the community's general reaction to these changes, which are long overdue, legally necessary, and eminently sensible. There are legitimate minor concerns, but the overall sentiment here is insane. Typical meta change-aversion run wild. — Jeremy Banks yesterday
This is not change aversion.

@bjb568 It is not; it's just that people that don't care much are the ones that are the most active in that thread. The license change wasn't/isn't meant to address them, yet they suddenly turn back and say "Hey, was I supposed to attribute! This is outrageous"

But you weren't supposed to attribute.
SE just fails at explaining it, that's the problem.

@bjb568 The problem is that some say you should, some say you shouldn't. They're just looking for a license that covers this clearly.
I don't give a damn anyway, I'm not contributing code to SE, if anything I do ever counts as contribution.

The CC license said code is an excerpt and is thus public domain. MIT restricts that.
That's for MCVEs anyway, CR questions and such are protected and need proper attribution.
So the current license is the best of both worlds. The MIT license would just screw things up.
Even if people didn't fully understand the nuances of this, they probably reached the same conclusion.
Night!

FWIW @JonEricson, @bluefeet, @Shog9, and all the other CMs that I won't directly mention here: I know it's been a hard few months with nasty drama and then changes people aren't taking to easily (myself included). I just want to say THANK YOU for all the work you do (which is often the bits no one else wants), and for not giving up despite recent setbacks. This couldn't be done without ya'll :)

@ɥʇǝS Thank you! I seriously have been excited to wake up and do my job every morning since I started. It's wonderful to have such interesting and challenging work. (Now, I did take a long nap today to deal with a monster headache. But that's probably unrelated. ;-)

@ɥʇǝS thanks! I feel the same as @JonEricson when it comes to my job but I'm also thankful for alcohol. Maybe that's why I also have a monster headache.

It's only Friday, @bluefeet...
