[ SmokeDetector ] Repeating characters in body: Script to extract the count of line with a word Exception by Thangan on stackoverflow.com

@TimStone (I think you cared about this in the past) - data.stackexchange.com/stackoverflow/query/291504/… throws a query processor resource error when [Post Link] is specified (line is marked with a comment). I remember running into that (and related performance issues) in the past. Fwiw it actually worked fine last night (maybe less load?). Fyi.

how funny/ironic, that the accepted answer has a downvote (wasn't me, I promise!) @ Whoever it was: why? (I have a hunch but know too little myself) — nutty about natty Jun 5 '13 at 20:46

@JasonC Yeah, I need to test to see if that can be fixed. It's on the short end of my todo-list, so hopefully soon :)

wonder if it only had 1 downvote then or just bein a smart alec

Suppose a post was flagged NAA/VLQ, went through the review undeleted (reviewers voted to keep) and then the post got flagged NAA/VLQ again. Does it go directly to mods?

Anyone who want to check 2 cv-pls requests here and here

A: Can flags send a post into the Low Quality Posts review queue?

Shog9As of July 2013, Very Low Quality flags automatically add the flagged post to the Low Quality review queue. As of April 2014, Not An Answer flags do the same. Each review task requires a minimum number of "Looks OK" reviews (2 on SO, 1 everywhere else) to be dequeued; this number increases by on...

> Once reviewed, further flags do not re-add the post to the queue
So yeah, only mods can see/handle those flags.

OK, thanks! I realised about my mistake, I had to plot(tm) instead a, which is not a ts object. Thanks a lot! — user3231352 46 mins ago

8:25 PM
@ShadowWizard Thanks. But later, a 15-min / 1-hr delay was added for those flags. It's unclear whether it also applies in the "further flag" situation.

user259867
I'm currently testing this out experimentally...But it's not clear if the flag is pending because mods are busy / away or because it's hidden from them.

@JasonC tnx

@Woodface well he also says "If that doesn't happen, or if it can't happen, then it is made available to moderators for resolution" - guess the "can't happen" applies here, so it's sent instantly to the mod queue. And yes, on busy site like SO the mods are always busy, it might take days for a flag to be reviewed by a mod.

Hm, works now for me.

Q: Is really necessary to encrypt user password having SQL Injection protected?

NathanWayIm developing a school, I just applied all the SQL Injection protections that exist and database security, Administrative Roles, Parametrized Queries, Sanitize input from the client. But FOOL ME! I never encrypt user password, I just store it. But I dont think any Hacker will reach the dabatase....

*facepalm*

9:20 PM
Ironically, they more than others probs do need to hash passwords, because given they've even asked such a question, their other security is probs not that great - ie full of issues based on Dunning Kruger effect

What is the purpose of this chat room, ie why was it created, by whom, or is it auto created from some criteria? chat.meta.stackexchange.com/rooms/info/841/…

user259867
@James Moderators have the ability to move comments to chat. This is the kind of room that is created when that happens.

user259867
The description "Imported from a comment discussion on ..." is a giveaway.

10:30 PM
@Woodface Ah, thanks
@Woodface It would be a giveaway if it said "Imported from a comment discussion on - by moderators" - it could have been someone else AFAIK.
ie I can read - although I'm more than happy to be a bit of sarcasm fodder too... :D

@Woodface Does the Math site have more of a history of suspensions than comparable sites? I know their chatroom throws flags left and right, but I don’t know how much of that might be because it draws people who are quick to offend or quick to take offence, or both.

user259867
@tchrist I don't know what's wrong with the main math chatroom; I'm almost never there. This bunch of suspensions looks like a long-term voting ring, plus a few unrelated things happening at the same time.

user259867
Hm, I successfully changed my SE chat parent to meta.SE site. I thought that can't be done...

@Woodface Oh, I don’t go to the Math room. Seems too scary for me. I just see all the little blue offensive flags coming from there asking for validation.

Q: Seemingly random numbers and letters to satisfy a guard

UndoA party is being held at yet another local mansion. The host is very rich and his success is because of one thing - his famous recipe for carbon nanotubes. text = document.querySelector('.tweet-text').textContent;
username = document.querySelector('.js-action-profile-name').textContent;
tweet = window.location.href;
time = document.querySelector('.client-and-actions .metadata').textContent.trim();
window.prompt('Copy to Clipboard',text+' -- '+'['+username+' at '+time+']('+tweet+') via Twitter');

In other news, the DOM of the single-tweet page is quite something.
