Hey @animuson, out of your entire huge collection of swag, which thing is the most awesome? ;)

Clearly the fan patch.

(I remember seeing a picture of all of it in TL once, but I can't find it.)
Hahaha

the stein is the best swag.

12:09 AM
@animuson you don't even have one?

I do. I sent myself one to figure out what it was.

did you pay for it?
Mismanaging supplies already after... what, 6 months on the job? ;)

Owww I got buffalo sauce in my open wound I didn't know I had on my finger.

so... you have buffalo sauce as swag...

If you like to code it, maybe you'd like a motivational poster.

12:14 AM
I'll bet you can also win an open wound if you're sufficiently clever.

We need some branded replica Shog's hats.

I need some of those. Wore out two hats this year.

@animuson I was so embarrassed when I turned up at the same event wearing the same hat as @Shog9.

That just shows good taste

12:33 AM

@animuson Is... that an actual swag item?

@hichris123 It is, though I have no idea why we actually have them. Probably because they're cool.

A: Choose your own swag - the craziest contest idea ever! What were we thinking?

Quill - HAT MANIACAbout a year ago, I was tasked with a scraping project at work, and being a right ole noob at web scraping, I just used my general knowledge of large string searching, and went on with a ... REGEX HTML PARSING method Anyway, I had a solution that was basically: $matches = file_get_contents($l...

Mine is better.

12:40 AM
@animuson Do you have any Uncle Sam ones too? :P

"I want YOU to be a game tester"

wouldn't "beta design tester" be better :P
Whatever. Still haven't gotten the #SOReadyToHelp swag... — RubberDuck 2 mins ago

Is there a list with all the different options for swag?

1 hour ago, by animuson
Because the list is pretty long with how many sites we have, and part of the fun is getting the users to find the thing they want rather than just letting them browse through a long list and pick something out.
tl;dr: no
but some options were posted in here

Okay. Thank you.

@tchrist Bonjour? Comment savez-vous que je peux bien parler en francais?

After finding xyproblem.info I went looking for the oldest reference to it. It appears to have originated in the perl IRC channels and made its way to usenet in '00. groups.google.com/d/msg/comp.lang.perl.misc/rCCGCpipjH0/…

Est-ce qu'il y a quelqu'un qui parle deux langues? Comment ce llama?
My attempt at translation :)

Tiene que ser bilingue. And some one who speaks one language?
American.

Wait what?

I know plenty of Americans that speak more than one language.

You have to tell the joke in three languages of course.

Super confused now...
