@ShadowWizard inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M has not earned any spells yet.
As you may or may not get from the image above, you will never be able to find that spell I left for you.

@Derpy I know you mean some spell in the Den, but got no clue what spell, especially when I don't really remember all possible spells :D

You can't remember a spell no one got yet, could you?

How do spells work in Den anyway?
@Derpy Was it named 'JonSkeet spell' or something like that?

@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M As you may have noticed or not, most spell are actually earned by some specific actions you can perform in the WAG game.
Often it is a specific reply or a set of replies.
The idea was to have a sort of "Achievement" for making a specific connection between words.
The one no one yet has found was proposed by me, implemented by Fox and aimed at a specific thing that Shadow mentioned in the past.
It is pretty rare to have the opportunity to create the condition for its achievement, and even less probable is that Sha will ever make that mental connection.
And BTW, the Koro Sensei image isn't related.
It is just a form of mockery - see the yellow/green stripes.

anyway, here is an (useless) hint, @ShadowWizard. If I recall the award rule I had set, so far there has been only an instance of the prerequisite situation for the spell award to happen. And that situation was triggered by me, far before the spell was even implemented.

11:21 AM
@Derpy makes sense. So chances to get the spell are somewhere below 0.00001%, right? ;)

@ShadowWizard look, take the pony chain. The "Pony" level can be got by chance. The "unicorn" level can be got by chance too due to a specific trigger begin too common. The Alicorn level must be intentional.
This is the same, but the ruling are somehow stricter than Alicorn.
Alicorn is an action you can do. This spell is an action you can do in a specific situation

This is a rare case when I give up before trying... D:

A totally fine course of actions too. And after all, spells haven't been awarded for a while so far.

@Derpy well, it was borked until a month ago

So it didn't work for several months, I think
and there was another bug
in Shadow's Den, Oct 14 at 14:52, by ProgramFOX
Oh yay, another bug in the spell manager...

I can tell you that no one would have earned that spell, and that no one really would have been in the situation to.... As I said, it seems that situation only occurred once, before the spell was made.
@ShadowWizard That said, it is totally possible I don't remember the actual award rules, or that @ProgramFOX changed them.

@Derpy fair enough. With WAG dwindling these days, doubt if it will ever be awarded though, or any spell actually.

@ShadowWizard Question is, why is WAG dwindling?

Maybe it will make me finally push NES forward...
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M natural boredom of people, I guess
it gets boring after a while, can't blame anyone :)

Hmm, what you need is new features.

As I always noticed, meta isn't exactly a good place for fun. Your style, my style, it doesn't really matter...
most of the people here are here for the spam hunt

11:41 AM
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M can't, the whole point of WAG is to be simple. More features will make it into something else

Change so much that you'll interest users, so little that the basics don't change.

@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M suggestions are welcome :)

@ShadowWizard IMO the biggest problem with WAG is that you can associate anything with anything.
There are no 'hidden words', no 'word streaks' etc.
And no one exactly knows how to associate.

'hidden words', no 'word streaks' - and what would those be?

Should we associate by "rhythm"? By "meaning"? By "part of speech"?

11:43 AM
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M Nothing to know - one should just reply with first thing on his mind when seeing the last word

@Derpy Not really important now, could be in the future.
@ShadowWizard The only thing that makes some professional WAG'er different is some static nonresponsive data.

@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M as you wish, but I think you may be wrong.

Bottom line, we can't enforce such rules, as each person view this in different way. It will just lead to confusion and people angry at each other - not the goal of the game. :)
As for word streaks it's possible only between human players, bot can't do that just yet - but it's possible, and pretty sure we had those in the past before bot became major part of the game. /cc @inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M :)

Actually, even after if "uncouth words" is a word streaks too.

@Sha @Der just my two cents. WAG pushes freedom to its limits and is way limitless for a (very) addictive game.

11:52 AM
lol having fun with @ber in the Den :D

@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M Don't know, my reasons for leaving where others I don't think we need to discuss again. What I do know is that users here need a game that requires the lower possible effort beforehand.
And by that I mean that games that require to much time to play are bound to fail.

@Derpy exactly - starting to enforce rules and make one think before each move will likely make more people leave than join

See my old "Muffin stealing" game attempt.

@Derpy Hmm. The successful game is one with the smallest manual.

@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M the manual can be small, but if you do require to much effort you will fail too.

11:55 AM
yes.
