@rene I hadn't found that in my searches, thanks. I've tried disabling and enabling the adapters, rebooting has also been done already, to no avail. From what I'm reading though, a lot of the people in there don't have a connection at all. Mine's working fine, I just can't configure it. Anyway, I've deleted on SO and reposted on SU.

I recently found a question that had been vandalised by it's author during the grace period to "nvm fixed it myself" after it was closed as "unclear". As a grace period edit it cannot be rolled back.
