has anyone experienced that the flag button does not work in the popup dialog when you click on flagging a post? First time for me, but it is strange. There was some error dialog in the background which was only partially visible, so it may be related.
out of the curiosity, what is wrong about this answer? stackoverflow.com/a/20779364/2682142 I could not figure it out, but now Stack Overflow will lose a valuable answer IMHO with my deletion. Just wanted to clarify before deleting. I do not wish to leave place for fraud voting.

@Bart you can, you also probably will get a refused flag but you can. What I meant is that as everyone "can cast an unexplained vote because he should be free to" so the same freedom is for him to delete.
No. Then again, it's pretty obvious when I get strange up or downvotes. It's always on the highest scoring or lowest scoring answer @LaszloPapp. Annoying, but it happens.

the whole downvote system is broken.... it does not help the OPs ("mandatory" reasonning), and it does not help the criticizers either (anonymous comments) ... but do not get me started ;)
@LaszloPapp Don't be so negative. The problem is that the discussion comes around every sencond day, and most time because of whinning. It is just human that the staff is pretty "bored" by that.
yeah, well, I would not act with that tone and inconsideration as a community manager when the community has a concern and would like to discuss it with clean table, a dedicated room for it, etc, but that may just be me. Let us leave it with that...

There is also a const char * allocated in the code that I send to the QString constructor. I just put QString otherPath(const char *); again for simplicity. Also, I repeat that I am more worried about unexplained -1 on answers than question. Perhaps I am a little biased: as far as I can tell random voting is more frequent on answers.
@SPArchaeologist: yeah, I do not think it matters what the community says. To me, it seems like shog and community mods form the rules, not the community.
also, the meta voting is inconsistent, his proposal is highly upvoted, but at other places, the same thing is downvoted to oblivion.

the community clearly voted against how the moderator acts today for that particular topic, but nothing has changed, and I do not expect that anything will.
I do not understand the voting on meta on such topics, if shog and moderators do not want, it is not going to happen.
Perhaps it is not meant to be a democratic process, and I was living in misbelief.
@LaszloPapp There was a quote on my old UO server "My house, my rules". I can live with that. After all, the site is owned by the same mods that you said are taking the decisions. That said, no one will ever convince me that there is usefulness in telling someone he is wrong but not telling why/where.

yo guys, can anyone tell me: when a sub 2k users suggests an edit, then immediately reedits the same question, do the suggestions get combined? or have I just flooded a question with edits....
@OGHaza if the suggestion wasn't approved/rejected it just combines, if someone approved/rejected it gets rejected by Community, if it's already approved or rejected a new review is created
@Braiam a little needed precisation: on sharepoint when one post an answer usually the answer is mostly correct. There is very few "random guessing" going around.
@Braiam Nope, sorry but imho that not the case. SharePoint is just so problematic that usually users prefer to not speak when they are unsure. As a result, there are very few answer. An those answer receive very few votes.
@SPArchaeologist: ah, it is worse than that now I am thinking of... the current downvote system does only not help the OP, but nor the criticizer, and nor the moderator who will need to deal with the mess. In fact, I do not understand whom the current the downvoting system helps.

The perceived problem I was discussing with Laszlo time ago was actually revolving around THAT situation. A random vote on a Skett +9999 vote answer does nothing. On a good answer on SharePoint it create NOISE. +2/-1 is already a shaddy situation.
I can give plently of example of code samples taken from sharepoint blogs that will create subtle problems you may catch only 6 month later from now.
Document sets are the most common example. Create it in one way and they will get corrupted and be displayed as common folder..... but only if opened in a dialog in a very specific situation (alternate mapping and such). Thank you, oh random user that didn't wasted thy two precious second to tell me before. Can I ask you WHY you lose your time on a site whose purpose is to teach others? Hoping for a MVP title?
ok, downvotes does not help the rest of the world either. By following you mean, it was a correct answer, or someone was trying to follow a downvoted bad answer?
what if that really is the right way, but the downvoters were unrightfully worried and downvoted without leaving comments and get corrected?
I would not know without hinting comments. I would take it as the right way as no one has been able to criticize it. I would not get worried about 5 unexplained downvotes.
but it can scare newcomers off being too much concerned about downvotes missing the right solution out.

This is because it's "expensive" to view the vote count (in terms of running the query). The rep threshold limits the number of people requesting this data.
@3ventic better. Still, I dubt many users would use that.... Also, since the system already counts the vote, keeping two split results shouldn't be so heavy performance-wise. Anyway, I will go with that.

@GnomeSlice Most likely the designer rotated an horizontal level. The top one would be (about) the same whether the level is horizontal or vertical. It's the bottom one that is problematic.
