I believe, @Shog9! I believe!

YOU'RE NOT BELIEVING HARD ENOUGH

believes harder

I believe I'm hungry.

Some moderator removed the duplicate comments these seconds, but those questions were deleted for the same reason by a previous moderator.

And, apparently, I'm hungry for "pig head parts."

Who knew.

12:01 AM
@jadarnel27 You should totally drop that livermush crap & go with a head cheese sandwich on rye with some brown mustard.

@Undo Flagged 35 comments. :P

wow
hehe
wait, wrong word.
Yay!

Only 6 today. :)

:)

Don't tempt me with brown, @Shog9. Don't do it. Also, I don't want to have to go to the store to get this "head cheese" you speak of.

12:02 AM
@jadarnel27 yeah you do. I'll bet you need some rye bread anyway
and with that, I'm gonna go get some beer & a burger

Well...you're right about that.
Damn it, I really am hungry now.

@Shog9 You may be able to have a beer, but I am already partly through Friday. Though I'd trade that for a beer and a burger.

I lost the link and registered stackapps page, so please excuse:

@ManofSnow Hmm?

@hichris123 OAuth stuff, lost the page I already made so had to re-create it with icon URL

Oh, okay.

hmmm, I want to try to make a logo too. :P
I'm going to

I'm posting a meta question
If you make chat window small and refresh page (or don't), you can't see your text if you type a lot

1:37 AM
a quick first attempt:
not very good since I threw it together really quickly :P

Maybe...
It seems pretty good
Don't know how you made it :P

I used paint.NET

I know :P

Clouds -> Displacement -> Typing a C -> Blend mode: overlay -> Merge -> Relief
pretty easy :P

I use photoshop tutorials sometimes, and they just experiment the options, they don't know what they're talking about :P

1:39 AM
What is this a logo for?

Charcoal
wait, charcoal is black. :P
making new logo...

Q: Can't efficiently post chat messages when window is small

Man of SnowI was just working on my project while chat messaging, and I wasn't able to see what I typed! The hidden text is 'ur text if you typed a lot'. You can see the rest here (posted): This can be pretty easily solved by allowing the user to make the textarea smaller than 540px. However, I would ...

Not one of my best questions :P (posted just now)
Yay, upvote :P I can't wait to get the vote count fetch privilege

more charcoal-y:

1:46 AM
I have meta questions I can ask whenever, I just like to post them sometimes because I'm not sure if they're "good", like whether American english should be the preferred type for posting questions rather than UK english, like "realise" instead of "realize"

The first one was definitely better.

I'm going to go eat dinner, brb

I wonder if I should post this issue: transparent background in images turns black if you add an 'l' (for large). Large is the default, so it shouldn't be an issue, though

Screw you company filter. First you block Google Images, then you block Wikimedia Commons, now you block compfight.com? Why do you taunt me so!
This wikipedia page has some awesome images of Charcoal. Maybe some of them are freely licensed without attribution and can be used for the logo.

@jmac I'm going to laugh when they block SE. :P

1:50 AM
Haha I changed the title of my post to 'Text areas and full alpha madness' :P

@hichris123 It is semi-blocked, but I can click 'ok' to access it. The issue is that I create presentations and rely heavily on CC images, for which compfight is a great source, since we lack good stock image contracts.

@jmac Someone dares block SE? brings out site hammer this time

@hichris123 Do you have the worthiness to wield the hammer?

@hichris123 They block tons of stuff and don't manage the filter themselves. Which is idiocy. There is a message that pops up telling you how to get stuff unblocked. So I used to actually try to get stuff unblocked (100% work related). What did they do? Told me how to bypass the web filter for that site since they didn't want to deal with the third-party company that maintains the filter.

@jmac So basically it's just an annoyance, not a block... sad.
@ManofSnow I do.

1:56 AM
@hichris123 I can't even lift the hammer :P

Yes. Chat.stackoverflow is blocked as 'web mail', but this one isn't. Silliness.

I wish I had a real mod hammer... :)

@hichris123 I was actually thinking of a Mjölnir

plays carnival music

@ani, do you have universal mod powers? Or just on SO/MSO?

2:00 AM
Just SO/MSO. I'm not a CM.

@jmac SO+MSO+chat.SE

Even though people keep thinking I am.

Though, separately, this comment thread is absurdly unnecessary and totally verboten by the concept of SE in general. Should I flag all messages? Just flag one with an 'other' flag?
And who other than my site mods can actually handle it?

@animuson That's a complement. :P

I didn't know it was only CMs who have the universal powers. I thought some mods had a bit more power across the sites too if based on the biggies (SO/MSO). I guess I was wrong!

2:03 AM
@jmac If you get enough people to flag them all, they'll be automatically deleted.
I don't remember what the deletion threshold is, though.

It's too late to get flags at this point...

@jmac Why?

Most of our users are on until 5pm EST or so at the latest.

@jmac Some of the SU/SF mods have mod powers on MSO, but that's about as "universal" as it gets.

We have a handful of users in Europe, but everyone else is generally in the US and doesn't come on in the evenings much

2:05 AM
@animuson You're going to be so sad when the mSO/mSE split happens and you're not a mod on mSE. :P

So I pull down the graveyard shift.

The Workplace is my next highest-rep site below SO. :)

Really?
Very true. Scary-like.
I've even answered your questions. Wow. I should have realized it.

I finished consuming nutritious objects

Nutrition is for healthy people.

2:11 AM
@animuson Indeed. If you have nutrition and you're not healthy, you will simply incinerate.

Charcoal logo idea #3:

That's (almost) the sugar!

I really like that one.

@jmac He probably pressed two buttons considering he used paint.net

You going to round the corners iOS-style, and add some nice glare-esque gradient?

2:14 AM
No
Don't
iOS auto rounds the corners
They used to auto add the glare, but not anymore (with iOS7)

@ManofSnow Random Shape Fill -> Brightness/Contrast -> Text -> Negation -> Overlay -> Flatten ;)

I did not know that. I have become more educated on things I don't really much worry about.

Also, there's a simple thing you can do on sites for it to look iOSish
@jmac I would know, I'm an iOS developer with 3 apps in the App Store

I would drop the transparency on the text down a few notches so the C appears more solid.

@jmac I don't think so

2:16 AM
@ManofSnow You should totally drop that and try jQuery.

Maybe I'll ask a meta question about why I get desktop notifications when I'm looking straight at the reply

but before I go... do you like this logo better?

2:24 AM
Random white things around the 'C'

I really think the C needs to be whiter.

What is that?

I tried to make it a bit rougher but it made it look weird

The grey in the bottom-left section of the C needs to be fixed.

ok, anyway, I'll do more logoishness later; have to work on essay

2:25 AM
It bleeds in to the C too much and doesn't look like the C is stacked because of the grey-white grey-black illusion
which is bad.

Q: Allow spectators to see vote tallies in primaries

user149432Currently, it appears that you can't see the vote totals on nominees during the primaries if you don't have enough reputation to vote: presumably, that's because the voting widget is disabled. That's what I figured, he's just tickling the API on intervals to get new posts and then matching. Quite genius actually
Ahhhhhhh, it's looking at the real time feed. Brilliant

Q: My Tags page is showing no results

DuncanI just visited http://stackoverflow.com/unanswered/tagged?tab=mytags and for me it shows no results. Has something broken? I never really use this page, so perhaps I'm just not getting what it's supposed to be doing. I'm assuming this should be an OR-ing of my favourite tags together. So the id...

@Duncan Works for me.

:-(

9:00 AM
Wondering....
If we browse the reputation page on an user profile we an see upvotes and downvotes.

What happened to the plural and hyphenated tag cleanup post?

Does the page also display the -1 change when the user downvoted an answer?

Never mind, found it.

Anyone knows?

@SPArchaeologist I'd guess not - voting's supposed to be anonymous. Stand by while I check.

9:05 AM
@SPArchaeologist What does my rep say to you for yesterday? stackoverflow.com/users/474189/duncan?tab=reputation
For me it shows 94 and highlights a downvote. I wonder if you see 95.

@Duncan yep, 95.
I am somehow tranquillized

Mystery solved @michaelb958.

My check (incognito viewing my own profile) concurs.

@michaelb958 Ah, yes. That would have been the intelligent way of doing that.

I was already going to create an app to scan scores and cross reference downvotes times
nice to know they though about that
that said.... I could just save the rep score of yesterday and compare it to the rep score you should have today if the page didn't lie. I would still need to extract the times somehow :P

I wonder if voting activity should count as contribution to the site and thus be freely available.
