Anyone want to help clean up/remove ? I sliced 55 questions off, but now I'm out of flags :/

@Telthien When you do this, are you leaving guiding comments to help make the sites better?

user206222
@jcolebrand The questions I caught were all from 2011. I've been flagging.

12:58 AM
@Telthien flagging for what specifically?
Telling us what it is you're doing that you want help with helps for those of us not monitoring everything all day ;-)

user206222
Ohh I see haha. I've been flagging as not a real question and not constructive

user206222
Editing those that were good enough to avoid closure

user206222
But removing the code-sample tag either by retagging or editing for all of them

I've thought it was a little weird that the official attribution policy has always been that blog post of Jeff's, which was a little informal. Turns out there is an actual legalese copy on /legal.

It's kind-of funny, though: In the event that You post or otherwise use Subscriber Content outside of the Network or Services, whether such Subscriber Content was created by You or others, You agree that You will follow the attribution rules of the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike license as follows:

Seems to incorrectly indicate that you need to obey the attribution policy when reposting your own content, even though you still have all the rights and certainly don't need to.

well, you could always argue that you had the content on your harddisk and thus don't re-post it from the network

The [Share-Alike license](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/us/) says:

*Any of the above conditions can be waived if you get permission from the copyright holder.*

So if you're the creator, you could presumably waive any restriction on how you use the material. The clause in the SO legalese may be there because content you created may have been edited by others, in which case you're no longer the only one who has an interest in the material.

I think the most important question regarding all this legal stuff is, "Who cares?"

@ThiefMaster Could you possibly step in on the comment thread here?
I was trying to educate this user on keeping comments useful and constructive, and he snapped back at me.
I don't want to get in a back and forth with him, so I thought it would be nice if someone with more authority said something to him.

4:13 PM
Then again, maybe I'm out of line.

Thanks for cleaning up @Shog9. I probably shouldn't have replied that last time.

@jadarnel27 np; guy was being a jerk anyway
Already too much code in that question

5:05 PM
Indeed. I think it's odd they included that specific bit of code to be honest. Since they said it was working fine, but just not firing after the first time.
You'd think that would point them in another direction, as far as seeking out the problem =)

I hate when people delete their questions while I'm typing an answer.

8:04 PM
That's only happened to me a couple times (I don't answer nearly as often as you do), but I also find that to be incredibly irritating, @DanielFischer.
Feature request: When an OP deletes a question, they are penalized 15 rep per answer being typed.

8:18 PM
I'm no web developer, but I'm sure you guys could work that out with all the real time updates going on =)

Doesn't happen so often to me either, @jadarnel27, it happened perhaps four or five times. It's just terribly annoying.

Pops-Perturbing Pedantic Problem of the Day: when you get some random sequence of notes stuck in your head, maybe start humming it softly to yourself, and at some point later in the day realize to your horror that it's part of a song you hate.

Friday, Friday...

I never did succumb to Mrozek's pressure.

I really want to be the one to expose @PopularDemand to this
