It could be on the order of hundreds of requests an hour, maybe even thousands. I don't think that's too heavy for the app to run, considering it processes all that faster than I care to profile it ;)

What's gonna be fun is deserializing the thing back out. I haven't decided to cross that bridge yet, I can rebuild it by hand for now

I'm pretty sure it serializes with enough information to get that back out.

I can always add another set of fields to this XML in the future tho

The .NET API is generally smart enough to change that to <textFieldThatShouldAlwaysBeEmptyExceptDuringTesting />

I imagine part of that was opening connection pool strings that were closed and the like

right now it's written sufficiently to allow me to serialize everything :D
