@b_jonas I have to give a deploy checklist to a co-worker to use as a reference for some installation work. Should I had a "Double-check the checklist" as the final point?
@Derpy Heh. I dunno, that might depend on your co-worker and your relationship. (The serious answer to that is no. If you want to write a redundant check instruction and don't want people to ignore it like Spike does, write it in such a way that it sounds like redundant.
Eg. wrong: “Check that the keyboard USB cable is plugged in the computer.” “<without looking at the back of the computer> Sure, it is plugged in.” ;
right: “Pull the keyboard USB cable from the computer, then blow into both the plug and the socket to remove the dust, then wait for thirty seconds to make sure the driver notices the cable is removed, then plug the cable back in, so the driver re-registers the keyboard.” “Ok, wait. <Hey look, I must have pulled the cable when vacuuming the room!> Yep, that did help, thank you.”)
