Refused to display 'http://stats.stackexchange.com/questions/123083/confused-about-the-basics-distributions-and-standard-error' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'.
The problem is - my trick to bypass the x-frame same-origin restriction set upon by SE is to load the frame content through AJAX, then dump it into a fresh frame. I'll have to capture link clicks to simulate normal navigation, and I'm not sure why javascript links don't work
I give up. The best I can do would be to attempt to fix individual links within the popup, which would be an insane amount of work (essentially duplicating most of the page javascript), or to tear out the content and only show some links, relevant to this room (essentially duplicating the question page), beg the dev team to let me embed frames (unlikely to succeed) or give up entirely. I'm tempted to give up entirely.
I've tried capturing in-frame clicks. But - despite that the in-page javascript should have run, there are no corresponding global variables nor error messages of them missing
Also, despite that the page javascript seemingly won't run, some click events are prevented nevertheless.
And even when a click event is not prevented, SE returns me a 404 page despite that visiting the same URL that I fetch manually returns me a valid page
... and the chrome dev tools refuse to show AJAX calls made through GM_XHR
k... I might go the route of frankensteining a semi-decent question page with some of the links from the main page (namely, close and flag), but it won't be nice, quite as functional, and it won't be today.
