As an FYI, Zephyr will begin recording details about vote requests soon. The end goal is to be able to provide Pham/Smokey with a list of bad questions and answers that users have already said is bad. The hope is that these true positives will help improve your algorithms

@Andy :D
I added references to Smokey, Pham and Zephyr in my MSE profile. If you have time, take a look and tell me how you like the formatting. I'm open to improving it :P

@Andy So how would Pham/Smokey use this new data you're collecting?
And what exactly will this data consists of?

11:13 PM
It's querying the API to pull body, title and other information

Sam
Ah, I see.

My assumption is that Pham can use both body and title, correct?

Sam
Yes, and author name/rep and post score.

Awesome, it's got all of that

Sam
Great, but how are you making all this info available (how would Pham get the data)?

11:17 PM
Right now it's all in an SQLite DB
We can talk about how Pham could use it
/get it

Sam
Ok, I'll need to brush-up my DB skills then ;)

I'll push the code changes to github in a day or two. I want to make sure there aren't any unforseen bugs, but so far it's run for almost 7 hours with no issues. It has been a slow Zephyr day though.
I'll have to wait until Europe starts their business day. It seems to pick up when that begins.
Of course, that's just my guess. I'll be able to tell that for sure now too :D
I won't be able to push the DB to github (they don't like large binary files). So, we will figure out how you want it.

Sam
I was just about to bring that issue up.

I can provide extracts if that'd help. Or you can get the full DB.

Sam
Hmm, what about providing remote access to the DB?
As updating the DB every X <time period> seems unreasonable.

11:23 PM
SQLite is a local DB. It's a single file. It's not like mysql/ms sql/postgres/etc

Sam
I mean, you could write a smell program to listen out for requests to the DB and then handle the data and send it off to the client.

Let me think about the best way to do that.
Sorry, I need to cut this short. I have to go start dinner for the family

Sam
Np, I need to go too. ;)
I'll see you later, bye!
