@Bebs that's a security measure @rene added to prevent nasty things like making the bot interact with other bots, and to make it clear it's automated/bot message.
e.g. without it we could abuse it like we can abuse @Moosebot

@ShadowWizard, well not according to guidelines; meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/255745/…. Just thought I'd flag it is all - I simply wasn't sure. It's also not clear where/how to contact moderators, searching essentially leads to "flag stuff" (there's nothing in SO to flag) or "contact via chat" so... :)
I don't blame you! They've only gotten tougher with expected quality and it's a high bar to meet, especially starting out. I get their reasons but everyone's gotta start somewhere. There were good intentions but I think they may have ended up with a bit of an elitist culture
@ShadowWizard one got to be too tough. We're not baby people and the last two years...yeah. Not going through that again. Plus child costs, child care costs, etc. Too expensive if nothing else
@DiskJunky fair enough... if it was up to me, two were enough, they're wonderful kids... but wife insisted on another one, and we get lots of help from her parents, so third it was.
@ShadowWizard I started with great thoughts of 3...then 2...now 1 :) Neither of us want to give up our job and that puts a whole host of financial restrictions on what's possible. Plus we always saw kids as a "bonus", not a requirement for the marriage. We're ok with it - works for us anyway :)
Anyway, my older sister went to Ireland once, few years ago, and met someone there. They hooked up, were a couple for about 2 years until they realized it's not really possible to have such relationship. @Disk
@ShadowWizard yeah long distance is a tough one. There's also cultural differences (not specifically your country, just in general. I've been in prior relationships)
@ShadowWizard that was our thought too...and we're still considering it truth be told. But there's a genuine financial barrier here with child and child care costs. Even if we wanted one, we'd be looking at 5K+ birth costs, child care is (currently!) 600 a month, etc.
@ShadowWizard fair enough :) In respect to company though, he has 2 cousins he sees every day within 3 months age difference. Plus one more several years senior he sees very frequently (in-laws live next door). So he's not stuck for sibling experience :)
@ShadowWizard well, it's been a rough few years on sis for a variety of reasons. Perfect storm. But, yeah, gotta roll with it an no complaints. Family's family at the end of the day :)
