2:58 PM
~ What is this? Weekend?
3:29 PM
@ShadowWizardWearingMask I'm not sure the names that you're into... So I can come up with a few based on your name... Like Demonslayer, Chaosbringer, Shadowlord, I'm not sure if those names are too demonic. I just took the general of "Shadow" and followed similar things.
Also what happens when a bounty expires?
Funny thing is, @Tinkeringbell gave me a better answer(s) than anyone in the original question... this is because nobody has had an actually relevant answer. That irrelevant answer got deleted.
@Wasabi If there's no answer with a score that qualifies it for getting half the bounty auto-awarded and you don't award it yourself, it just... expires. Your rep is gone (you pay for the advertising, even when no-one buys), a subsequent bounty will need to be higher than the original one, and that's about it.
the mold isn't seeming to kill my succulents that much right now, but its ugly and I'm sure that it's damaging the one that is the worst now
Luckily, none have been infected since I last told you about it. This is because I have been holding on watering
But then again... The second I water them, the mold will show up
Might the mold be in whatever thing you use for watering?
I use my sink
Ah. Probably not then XD
3:35 PM
so the chances are low, but that's a great point
The water quality is great
I gotta run... I'm glad to hear the mold does seem to have stopped spreading.
Yeah... Until I water the plants
You can try to use disposable paper wipes/tissue to 'clean' the mold off...
Do it outside though, you don't want things floating in the air.
I also know that Hydrogen Peroxide kills it. But it comes back so freaking fast that I'd have to spray them with Hydrogen Peroxide so much just to keep the mold away that I'd totally kill the plants with way too much fluid
The one that had the most mold is fresh and clean now though!! I got fungicide like you suggested and it really worked. The mold isn't coming back. It fizzes when I spray the mold with the fungicide.
Now to get the other succulents... and keeping spraying them weekly so that they can stay clear of the mold
the funny thing is, I'd have totally accepted that as an answer since it worked but I can't give the bounty to a comment in chat :(
3:56 PM
@Wasabi well, none fits, sorry. The source of my name can be found here. I didn't copy exact term, but created a new one which combines the Forgotten Realms shadow magic and the classic D&D Wizard class.
Fun fact: I never played evil characters in D&D.
So anyway, going back to the sources is possible, didn't really think of it, so thanks for the suggestion! :D
@Tinkeringbell If you want to share the answer with that community I'd appreciate it!
I'd give you the bounty if I could, since your suggestion worked.
Unfortunately it expires in 3 minutes.
This might fit, though it will be quite a change from what I'm these days..... :P
@Wasabi there is also 24 hours grace period
@Wasabi wait, on what site? I don't see you ever offered any bounty on MSE.
No, GL
Gardening & Landscaping
I wouldn't ask about mold on Meta
Like 24 hours after it expires?
are you sure?
4:03 PM
@Wasabi yes, so it's all good. You still have 24 hours.
A: A grace period of one day to award the bounty after expiration (without remaining featured, of course)

Jeff AtwoodNo, this doesn't make sense to me -- "just one more day", well, why not just two more days? or three? or four? or seven? Where does it end? The bounty has a defined start and end period, everyone knows what they are as these dates are printed indelibly on the bountied question for the entirety o...

@Wasabi I'll try to write something up tonight.
Yeah. It expires in 23 hours.
And ~50 minutes.
4:07 PM
But I can't be on any later than 3:00 PM
Well, it's up for Tink. Worst case, post what she said as self answer and accept it, you won't get the bounty of course, but at least you'll help others in the same situation. (And you might get some rep from upvotes.) @Wasabi
(UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)
@Wasabi how long do I have before it's 3PM for you?
What time is it for You right now?
4:12 PM
9:12 AM
For me
It's Monday for me
But that's cool... So you've like completed your whole day already while I just started mine. Wow.
Ohhhh. I can manage writing something after dinner for you, and get it in before it's 3 PM for you
@Wasabi yep! Worked 8 hours, walked 30 minutes, and am now brainstorming with my parents about dinner options ;)
So say dinner is like... Guessing... 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM for you, (Pure over-exaggeration, I eat dinner from 7:30 (PM) sometimes to around 8:30 (PM)) that's like 3-4 hours later... so that's like 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
That'll work
Is it Sunday?
Or is it Tuesday
Monday here. 6:18 PM
Should be around the same for @Tink, she's nearby-ish.
What. I feel like I'm behind in time here.
I'm still waking up at 9:18 AM
Oh wait- It's exactly 1 hour ahead
@Wasabi USA is far behind. :P

I can do math
I woke up at 7:30 so I've had a bit to wake up
But my fingers still feel like someone washed my hands while I was asleep to get them covered in water, and then stuck them into a freezer and froze y fingers up because I can't move the minor joints.
@Wasabi don't put hand in water while sleeping, you'll wet the bed.
(and not from the water.)
Huh... I- eww
No no no I'm going to forget
about that
>>forget @Wasabi

I'm in winter
Is it October 26th for you guys?
It's in the last Sunday of October.
@Wasabi Dinner here is usually between 5 and 6 PM, though today it's probably going to be between 6 and 7 because we only just ordered the Chinese food (5:27 PM here now)

I still remember that when I was little I loved Nerf guns
@Tinkeringbell wow super early. My kids eat around 6-6:30, wife and me eating around 9:30 while watching TV.
4:28 PM
Because I could shoot my brother and he could shoot me for fun
@Wasabi we don't allow our son to shoot other people with the Nerf gun, lol
Strict parents...
I still get Nerf guns but I get the more "civilized" type, called "Rival"
Because It's more for older people than children
Because it shoots rubber balls instead of foam darts
Still hurts if thrown hard.
My kids just throw dolls on each other.
It hurts more (just a little bit) but it brings more accuracy and speed
(Rival rounds)
The Rival guns are also based off of real guns, in the way that they are shaped
Like this one I'm getting for Christmas, (One of 3) Is called the Rival Charger. It is based off of a P90

@ShadowWizardWearingMask you know those things where you just try it once to see how it's like because it isn't something you'd normally do, but you just do it for fun... and then the first time you ever try it you get really lucky?

+50 rep. I'm actually quite assured that the rep didn't go poof; that would have been a waste.
@Wasabi +75 actually, also 10 for the upvote and 15 for the accept. Thanks! :D
I'm wondering...
Did it auto award it to you
or did I award it to you
You put out a bounty of 50, right? Then you did award it, as an auto-award would only give me half of what you set out.
When does an auto-award happen?
When the grace period expires it will just find the most applicable answer and give half of it?
Lol if I look at your rep graph for GL it is flat until today, where i shoots exactly 90 degrees up until 176
> What happens if I feel my question is still unanswered? / What is automatic awarding?
Approximately 24 hours after the end of the bounty period (once the grace period ends), if the bounty starter has not manually awarded the bounty, the bounty may be awarded automatically.

If the author offered the bounty, and accepted an answer that was posted after the bounty was started, that answer is awarded the full bounty.

Otherwise, either all or half of the bounty will be awarded to the highest-scored answer among those which meet all of the following:
@Wasabi Hahaha yeah. I made a lot of profiles so I could help flag spam, I didn't actually expect to get active on more than 3 sites at first ;)
9:15 PM
It's actually super weird.
So you know the cactus and the other dude who were infected after the worst guy?
(the other dude is not the worst one)
Heh, I must admit I lost track of which plant is which ;)
Those two still have the mold, but it like went to sleep.
Ever since 5 days ago, they've just stopped growing.
I'm not sure why.
Okay. That may be a good time to actually clean it from the plants then, with a wet towel.
May be a lack of water or other conditions favourable to growth...
Did the temperature change? (drop or rise?), or did you get more sunlight?
And the huge guy who recently got it... It has dissapeared from the places where I previously saw it (that, or I wasn't able to see it when I looked), but it is still there in other places...
5 days ago was when the temperature here in Kirkland started to drop significantly.
It might be your mold needs a bit of humid and warmer conditions ;)
9:20 PM
My cat scratched my left hand yesterday really bad so it looks like I stuck my hand in a paper shredder... and it is so cold right now in my room that every one of the 39 cuts feels like it's in a freezer- which makes it hurt more
You're right.
If that's the case, now is your time to get rid of as much mold as possible. Wipe the plants, scoop the soil...
The mold is kind-of sleeping now, so you're right.
Preferably, do it outside or in a room where you won't keep your plants after.
Do you think it will work if I use Isopropyl Alchohol?
And I also saw in your answer mentioning 1 month- How long between waterings did you wait for your succulents?
I wait 1-2 weeks and my succulents seem absolutely great.
@Wasabi I did wait four weeks, most of the time. But I had mine in plastic posts (not stone or terracotta) so there was very little evaporation.
1-2 weeks might work, the most important thing is to go with checking the soil, not a set time.
The humidity of the air and the temperature have a big influence on how much water you loose on evaporation vs. how much the plant uses in a certain time.
I might edit that into the post tomorrow, for tonight it's bedtime :)
