Not really, in my own API sometimes I split stuff to parts.

The sequence will be this: first fetch list of nearby places, then fetch phone numbers and then find the distance for all listed places from current location

So one API for location, one for phone numbers... makes some sense, IMO. :)

For web browser it's fine

For apps, too much of background threads is pain

@TheLittleNaruto no, you can use simple queuing(you know about it), even if you somehow hit the quota. Fetching phone number and calculating distance for each hospital can be optimised in n number of ways. It can even be done by UI perspective

then you can even cache data locally, to load again, if user tries it. You can put expiry time of lets say one day or something on phone number, after that, you'll load from api

Also hospitals might get closed next day. Showing a wrong result will be a trouble only for the user

Cherry-picking one variable value from one place and another from another place doesn't make any sense to me

See they have got a great resources of developer, So I don't think there should be any problem in querying data from multiple places and giving at single place
