5:40 AM
@TheLittleNaruto ever faced ConcurrentModificationException?
pretty cool one, I am liking it <3
means something interesting is coming my way

6:09 AM
@DroidDev Yes It's quite common issue while dealing with ArrayList
For multi-threaded environment and if you're a ArrayList Fanatic boy, use CopyOnWriteArrayList @Dro

@TheLittleNaruto I am facing this issue in single threaded environment

@DroidDev Are you using Filter ?

@TheLittleNaruto what filter?

Filter for list
What exactly you're doing which causing this issue
If your code has frequent add and remove item to and from list, this is the main cause of this exception.

@TheLittleNaruto that's not happening anymore (issue is not coming now), so, now its just a guess work, since I lost stacktrace as well. Lemme see if I can reproduce that :/

@DroidDev @TheLittleNaruto need your help
getting stackoverflow error after enabling proguard

hmm.....were you able to point out the code where you are getting that exception?

kId
although I used org.gradle.jvmargs=-Xmx4084m -XX:MaxPermSize=4084m -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -Xss512m in gradle.properties and
dexOptions {
javaMaxHeapSize "4g"
}
@DroidDev after enabling proguard

@DroidDev No but you would be knowing in which scenario it happened, right ?

@TheLittleNaruto I am trying to do that again and again. Same thing is not making it crash now :/

@kId Share exception log

@DroidDev Dude I am asking what you're doing. This exception can't be very frequent.

kId
while make a build for that project

@TheLittleNaruto just removing an object from list

@DroidDev Ok and are you adding item to it at the same time from somewhere may be ?

@TheLittleNaruto neepes, just a simple removal. That's it

6:30 AM
Strange!
How are you removing ? Just any position or from rear to front ?
Will tak 2-3 minutes
@kId Checking

No associated word found for Checking.

@TheLittleNaruto read that. Not with much attention tho. Will do it again

@kId Is it complete log ?

kId
yes

@kId Don't do random stuffs
StackOverflow error comes if you're running a never ending code
Check your build script if you're doing something fishy
Analyze it

kId
6:39 AM
that is for enlarge heap size

How much code you wrote 5kg ?
Is your codebase huge ?
@kId Earlier you were able to run it properly ?

kId
while building the project it is throwing gc overhead limit exceeded after enabling proguard
yeah
if i disable the proguard I can run it

wow...seems like you are somewhere creating too many objects, and they are being nullified automatically too fast. Is there an adapter where you are always doing "new Object()" kind of place?
Just a guess tho, not sure if this is the issue

@DroidDev Nope

@TheLittleNaruto instinct (?)

6:46 AM
It's related to build script
@kId I fast reviewed both files, looks ok to me. Can you check if you added any rule for a dependency which is not present in your dependencies DSL

kId
no I have checked many times

post a question on main site.
mention everything that you tried.

kId
yeahsure

share link after posting question. @kId

kId
ok

6:55 AM
Also a Note: Always keep proguard enable since the start of the project.

goes back in time to enable proguard since the start of project

kId
@TheLittleNaruto I was not here when they started the project :(
I just joined before 2 months ago

It's ok.
@kId You got a good hike ?
Congrats by the way
in Android Talkies on Stack Overflow Chat, 8 mins ago, by Mukesh Rana
btw -keep class com.example.app.json.** { *; } is this correct?
@kId This is wrong.
I asked you this:

@kId I fast reviewed both files, looks ok to me. Can you check if you added any rule for a dependency which is not present in your dependencies DSL

kId
@TheLittleNaruto I was frustrated in previous company
@TheLittleNaruto thank you

But you said you already did for many times

kId
7:07 AM
some where I got those rules under any library

remove it and try
@kId Oh any gal issue ? or too much work ?

kId
@TheLittleNaruto nah
too much work but don't give time for that and always said copy paste everything which I don't like

kId
We were implementing data binding but it was taking little extra time tl told we don't need that

kId
7:10 AM
-keep class com.google.gson.examples.android.model.** { *; }
is this a correct one

remove it
any example one is a drag
Is it working now ? @kId

kId
still building

Ok
If it does not work, re-check if you added unwanted rule. And when you're very much sure you didn't, post a question on main site.

yes

Ok cool

kId
after that I have removed all rules

11:47 AM
Try restarting PC as well
@kId hell no!
Rules are required
But not the one which is not relevant to your project

kId
@TheLittleNaruto tried
@TheLittleNaruto yeah I know

> rules are meant to be broken

kId
that but trying to figure outfor which rule it is causing that problem
@DroidDev lol
