~ Where is everybody!?!

1 hour later…
4:08 AM
~ Morning Everybody

4:25 AM
@TheLittleNaruto this contains a lots of links to history

4:52 AM
@DroidDev LMAO read this:
> And we bankrupted the East India Company too — now run as a tea shop by an Indian as a revenge — The East India Company to resume trading - but this time under Indian control

5:33 AM
@TheLittleNaruto I have a doubt about that. How did we bankrupted East India Company?
also, @TheLittleNaruto what are you doing these days when you go home?
I was thinking on starting some kotlin sample projects
your thoughts?
I was thinking of starting with hello world, and then will move on to architectural concepts eventually
PS. is Kotlin object oriented?
PPS I hate anything that's not object oriented (at this point in my life)

6:02 AM
@DroidDev yes

6:20 AM
@DroidDev Now-a-days my working days extended to 6 days. I leave office by 9-10PM
@DroidDev Why ? Why can't it be possible when they were able to wash 'em out ?
@DroidDev I can participate
@DroidDev Yes

@TheLittleNaruto That word is already said in the latest 10 words. Please use another. (In case I'm mistaken, run >>rmword Yes and then >>reply 6969434)

@FOX9000 shutup

@TheLittleNaruto and take my money (?)

@FOX9000 give

@TheLittleNaruto hug (?)

6:23 AM
NooooOOOOoooOOOooooo!

kId
@TheLittleNaruto omg 9 - 10

@kId I start by 9 am
It's almost 12 hours
A Gift @Dro

@TheLittleNaruto lol, I hope same for you. Hope it blows very well in your hand :P

@TheLittleNaruto Too much luv? :p

@DroidDev :P

6:30 AM
@TheLittleNaruto well....british government took charge of India from east India company long before we drove anyone out

@PrincessLuna Yeah too much love that I don't want to hug
@DroidDev What do you mean ?

@TheLittleNaruto it says "we bankrupted east india company". I am saying, after there was a control of east India company over India, British government took control and there was no company left to bankrupt for us. Then how did we do it

6:45 AM
> The Indian Rebellion of 1857 (also known as the Indian Mutiny) resulted in widespread devastation in India: many condemned the East India Company for permitting the events to occur.[62] In the aftermath of the Rebellion, under the provisions of the Government of India Act 1858, the British Government nationalised the company. The Crown took over its Indian possessions, its administrative powers and machinery, and its armed forces.

The company remained in existence in vestigial form, continuing to manage the tea trade on behalf of the British Government (and the supply of Saint Helena) un
@Dro Read this, It's from wiki ^

@TheLittleNaruto oh....so because we rebelled, the consequences included company being nationalized, and in the end it lead to it being getting done for
> In love with "Pass by reference"
I have passed one list as a reference to three different adapters from one fragment. One adapter change few things in objects from that list, and voila! its changed everywhere!

@DroidDev That's what you wanted to do ?
I would avoid such cases
Kicks @ShadowWizard out of the planet

@TheLittleNaruto yeap, I did it actually as an experiment. These adapters will communicate a lot with fragment and I also had to provide a way to notify other adapters when one adapter was changing something in list, so I was trying to avoid using interfaces, as it will just make many methods which will then be difficult to track where they are being called from
now, I know where the list is being altered, and then they all call a common method, which notifies other adapters
@TheLittleNaruto yeah, apart from this particular (kinda special case (for me)), I would avoid this, as I think its a potential hornet's nest for future maintenance. But, here I think it will work just fine

7:01 AM
@DroidDev "think" That's your developer mind says. Think twice or thrice
@DroidDev Why ? It'll be more easy Man! Logs are not there in API for sitting idol!
TIL Note for you: Always use Logs even if you don't need 'em.

@TheLittleNaruto done already. Other alternatives include writing lots of unwanted code, which will induce more bugs than this one. Imagine, every adapter is having a separate list holding same data. I update one, iterate over it in all other adapters, set appropriate values, then notify adapters about changes (there are other views as well).
instead, just use one list, pass it everywhere, update it once, notify adapters, and they update views automatically

@DroidDev Ok I'll be more clear to keep my point.
So you'll still having one list
and you'll be passing to every adapter
But all adapter will have their own list which has been initialized already
when you'll pass this common list you can extract all items and add to the list which adapter owns
Now talk about updating list item
Let's say you updated a item with id "x"

@TheLittleNaruto nope, lists are not initialized already. I only pass this list, in adapters, there are just null variables, which are filled with address to same list

Using interface or a common method you can tell every adapter to update their items which has the item with id "x"
@DroidDev I know, That's what I don't want you to do.

@TheLittleNaruto but why?

7:08 AM
11 mins ago, by DroidDev
@TheLittleNaruto yeah, apart from this particular (kinda special case (for me)), I would avoid this, as I think its a potential hornet's nest for future maintenance. But, here I think it will work just fine
@DroidDev Read first line ^

@TheLittleNaruto yeah, now there are three adapters and some views. One methods will trigger some code with will iterate over lists and calculate things again, for all three adapters. That's a lot of boilerplate code
@TheLittleNaruto yeah, my case is special

@DroidDev Well in that case, you can abstract out common things in a base class, can't you ?

also, I think data bindings views, observable views, work on same kind of concept. Data is kept separately, which is just propagated to every view
@TheLittleNaruto still, its just more code, which is not actually needed if you use "pass by reference" facility provided by language basics

Looks like I failed to make you understand.

@TheLittleNaruto I don't actually know what you are trying to explain. That is unclear. Second is, this is fairly basic concept provided by language, which has reduced space complexity in my case by factor of 3. If I take up on writing all that boilerplate code, its more run-time + more space
Currently, all views are working lightening fast
why do I need to put values in different lists, then bear the overhead of updating lists all the time, when keeping one list, passing it everywhere is doing it itself for me

7:13 AM
@DroidDev My point is, if we're working on a product, we should be very careful.

@TheLittleNaruto that's correct.

Your point is valid, But keeping it decoupled is safe side.
Anyway it's upto you
Also If I really understood your UX, it's totally redundant to show same list of data in different cases
which does not make any sense to me

@TheLittleNaruto hmm...that's what I was thinking another day in another scenario. Adapter and fragment are part of single view. Can we make them tightly coupled in that case or should we keep them loosely coupled
@TheLittleNaruto that is correct, but its there to provide different functionalities actually.

Can't be those functionality given in a single UX ?
Talk to your design team ?

@TheLittleNaruto umm...no. Its just more features actually. If you had seen the UX, that would make you understand better. Its very difficult conveying UX related things via written chat :/

7:18 AM
Alright, if that makes sense. It's totally fine then
You can keep your code design for now.

@TheLittleNaruto it makes kinda sense actually. Those are hidden features, that you won't even notice at first. But if you keep using app, they will come handy
its kinda shortcuts in our IDEs

@DroidDev I'll have a look when I'll visit you.

@TheLittleNaruto yeap, sure
how many kms on your bike btw?

600 almost
First service is done
I'll come to your place, may be next weekend.

Room title changed to "Private Room for @DroidDev and @TheLittleNaruto" :P

7:23 AM
@PrincessLuna hehe (?)

@Dro does it hurt to be cached?
You feel smaller?

Ain't we playing Volleyball anymore ?

@ShadowWizard dunno, but access to me is now faster, since now everyone can directly poke me :/
dunno if its good or bad

I wonder if Naruto knows what we are talking about

7:24 AM
probably not :D
Good thing he didn't edit. ;)

yeah, now we can star it :P

Sometimes small mistakes can cause tons of fun stuff!
e.g. covfefe

...Why am I outta clue ??? Why ?!?

LMFAO

~ Not everything is star-worthy...
~ Stars get removed under peer-pressure?

7:26 AM
@TheLittleNaruto read Cache vs Catches
:P

Ah! small mistake

7:48 AM
@ShadowWizard Direct Dro Access is better :p

1 hour later…
8:55 AM
~ Can't we be a bit moar talkative?

@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog I rolled back your edit because it's not true.
The blog post is just words. They do not delete inactive accounts.
Feel free to submit bug report though. :)
They might want to delete them, but the way is long and requires lots of development time they don't have.

9:42 AM
:D

:6969855 dude, next up on twitter is screenshot of this chat, if I say anything funny, which is coming to my mind :P
LMFAO

@DroidDev lol Say it! We can always read deleted message.

9:57 AM
lol, now I forgot what was coming to my mind

No way! 😒

10:09 AM
@TheLittleNaruto come on, I am trying to be a more compassionate and loving person here. We should turn this world into a place, where everyone cares about everyone else, BECAUSE PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THEIR MISTAKES TO BE FUCKING POINTED OUT!!! THEY GET OFFENDED!!!

@DroidDev <3
FB Reaction ^

great! we should be more thoughtfull of what others are thinking, instead of what's right and wrong
Imagine ISIS coming out and saying, "We are so depressed, whole world hates us". I am sure so many people start sympathising with them
if idiots could fly, Earth would be overflowing with supersonic jets

@DroidDev Says George Carlins

@TheLittleNaruto did he say that?

That's a blurred memory, Can't recollect correctly
Raja Ram Mohan Roy (22 May 1772 - 27 September 1833) was a founder of the Brahmo Samaj in 1828, which engendered the Brahmo Samaj, an influential social-religious reform movement. His influence was apparent in the fields of politics, public administration and education as well as religion. He was known for his efforts to abolish the practice of sati, a tradition followed by the Hindus in some parts of India. Raja Ram Mohan Roy is considered by many historians as the Father of the Indian Renaissance. In 2004, Ram Mohan Roy was ranked number 10 in BBC's poll of the Greatest Bengali of all time. ...
Read section: Religious reforms @Dro

10:19 AM
lemme go

well..the guy had a eye so far on future, if I think atm, I can't even imagine what will be there that far in future

No! No! Not "Religious reforms" but "Christianity and the early rule of the East India Company (1795–1828)"

crazingly intelligent
@TheLittleNaruto (._.)

He was indeed.
TBH People of that era were more intelligent than this era
In present era, We got people like @ShadowWizard whose intelligence only works in WAG.
XD

10:24 AM
@TheLittleNaruto can't quantify, but in this era, people with political power are mostly dumb and/or too much interested in retaining their own political power

@DroidDev That's where Christianity started spreading in India.

@TheLittleNaruto boohoo

No associated word found for boohoo.

@TheLittleNaruto currently fixing bugs

bags?

10:25 AM
but, its open in next tab. Will read it soon

@ShadowWizard ._.
@DroidDev ok

@TheLittleNaruto norman (?)

why am I single tho?

@DroidDev laziness :D

10:26 AM
@ShadowWizard trait (?)

@TheLittleNaruto either that message has a meaning so deep, I am not able to understand, or there is really someone, whom if I follow, I'll get hooked up.
Tho, I am thinking, in both cases, there's some hidden motive of yours
@ShadowWizard that's one reason

@DroidDev first

@TheLittleNaruto mark (?)

@DroidDev Dalai Lama

Man I don't want to delete my messages :(

10:28 AM
won't be able to understand anything that has a hidden meaning @TheLittleNaruto. Mind is working on multiple things already :P
OH!!! GOT IT!!!
lel

@TheLittleNaruto So... don't?

@ShadowWizard and get suspended ?

@TheLittleNaruto only if you insult someone
so far you didn't insult anyone

we need to turn world into a place of love

But I didn't insult

10:29 AM
we need to turn world into a place of love

Just mentioning the word "twitter" is legit.

..wait so I don't have to delete my messages

haha, you gotta be politically/technically correct :P

Woah! \o/

we live in a time where feelings are being quantified (eg. feeling of getting offended by being pointed about of being wrong)
yay yay!! I want sympathisers, let me whine about how badly my mistakes were pointed out by some experts, and I learned nothing from it

10:32 AM
@DroidDev let me sympathize you by kicking your butt. Will it stop your crying ? If not let me know I'll kick more.

OMG!! @TheLittleNaruto kicked me, he reduced the amount of love and compassion from this world. What a bad person

RANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway read that section, it's interesting to know how intelligently British introduced Christianity in India.
and how they were sending the money to England

will do

Raja Ram Mohan Ray was the only person who could keep the account of it, and after learning that, first thing he tried to do is to clean his people first by removing wrong systems like sati system etc.

only way of cleaning is, to remove the concept of religion from world

10:41 AM
Religion must not be cleaned.
This is totally wrong
But One must not impose it on others.
It should be choice of freedom.

guess what, humans are youngest of species. Everyone else has survived millions of years longer than us without having any religion. They just want food on the table (or whatever they eat it on).

@DroidDev and most of 'em are vanished

well...apart from that rant....IMO, if you look at past, religion was the cause of many major wars, and has done more harm than benefit for humanity, other species, and nature
@TheLittleNaruto lol, mostly because of us, not because of them not having religion

The problem is the way nowadays people treat religion.

There's another problem, how people from one religion treat people from other religion. Mostly, people just want their ideology and religion to be spread out, but if anyone else does the same, OMG, we got a war on our hands

10:45 AM
Religion is not something to force anyone to do something, it is kinda set of disciplines that one may follow for better life.
be it Hinduism Islam or any other
Also, lets imagine a world without religion
There will not be anything like God
People will work eat and sleep
Can you guarantee happiness forever then ?

...and roam around and do things they like
there will be no religious wars
no ISIS
no rohingya crisis

Dude! We can remove those Negative factors. Just We need everyone thinking like you.

there will be one less para about Ram Mohan Roy in wikipedia

1 min ago, by TheLittleNaruto
Can you guarantee happiness forever then ?

@TheLittleNaruto lol, I actually laughed at this. What you are ignoring is, how fucking huge those factors are. They just can't be removed because you want to prove that something is good.
@TheLittleNaruto well....let me make a list

10:51 AM
@DroidDev Nope, I am asking Yes or No

currently, ISIS is in trend, before that, it was al qaueda, before that in WW2 hitler killed so many people of particular religion, before that, there were christian marches under cross, before that there were mohamad spreading islam, and hindu great wars go beyond 5000 BC (ramayana, mahabharta etc)
@TheLittleNaruto well....that depends on how you define "happiness forever", but one thing I can guarantee is that world would have been a bit happier without all those things I mentioned above

@DroidDev Hindu Great wars were not about religion but about wrongdoing of someone

@TheLittleNaruto yeah, tho people gathered under some king (or avatar), who is said to be more hollier than others, because of their affiliations with some god

lol
You're clearly ignoring the fact about Ramayana or Mahabharata
Anyway I don't want to go into that.

@TheLittleNaruto maybe, but that statement will still hold true.
....and even if you exclude those wars, you have to know, hindu religion was a major cause of casteism and all. Lots of people suffered because of that also

10:59 AM
@DroidDev I just want to say, even if we will remove the religions, people will need some kinda support in case of despair, problems when there is no chance of solving problems by any means.
@DroidDev That's true.
Negative factors are in every religions

@TheLittleNaruto what kind of despair and problems we are taking about here?

But There is always Chanakya for chandragupta maurya.
@DroidDev Daily life problems, not everyone like you and me can ignore every issue and can live happiely
People are very emotional

@TheLittleNaruto yeah, give me one example. Also, living happily is a myth. Life is full of problems, with religion, you just get someone to blame it on (Why you did this to me god?). That is how we are trained since childhood.
Hinduism believes in Karma, but still infants (who haven't done anything) die daily. So, for them karma extends to their previous births
how the fuck is that a logical thing?
how many people suffer because their new born die? Did they also did something wrong?
OMG!! I gotta solve some bugs in my project
pokes @TheLittleNaruto
runs away

11:26 AM
@DroidDev I think I can't counter comment on it. But still I stand by my words that religions are good for humans as long as negative factors doesn't intervene .

@TheLittleNaruto well...negative factors will always intervene. Otherwise the thing would be "perfect". There will never be anything "perfect" which applies to masses.
also, we can just teach our kids to respect nature, and others. Don't need religion for that
and btw, who added fourth tag in room description?

11:52 AM
@DroidDev yep

@PrincessLuna anson (?)

@DroidDev Alright!
@DroidDev Why ?

12:32 PM
