Think the worst part is they demanded him to learn whole languages from scratch and build full project with it in something like a month, e.g. the last one was ASP.NET which he never knew before. Right, @Dro?

That's plain impossible, even for the smartest person on Earth. To make a good product, one must have proper amount of time to learn, if anything. Not just throw it all on the developer face and expect him to learn it like they do in Matrix.

@Pro back to what we discussed before, so it means that parents to small kids must take time off work at Wednesdays? That's not really good.

Here we don't work on Friday anyway.

I mean, it's like forcing them to take 2 full days every month.

@ShaWizDowArd Not unfrequently, grandparents would take the kids with them if the parents have to work. If that's also not possible, there were alternatives like "after school care"

So one can say weekend is Friday noon until Sunday morning. (not including either)

My 7 y/o daughter still remembers things from back when she was 3 or so. It's creepy sometimes, she brings up things I've said to her and ask me to clarify. lol

One of those is that when we went to her kindergarten in car something like four years ago, there was a big traffic jam. I told her something like "Look, there is a giant jam over there!" she didn't really respond back then, and few weeks ago she suddenly asks me "Are there really giant jams on the roads sometimes?", referring to actual jam. :P

Q: Why do stars appear as circles, not points?

Excluding the Sun, stars are so far away that their angular diameter is effectively zero. However, when you take pictures of them, brighter stars appear as circles, not points. Why? In theory, any star, regardless of brightness, should hit at most one small point of whatever medium is being us...
