@maňish I was in the train and the intenet connection was flaky at best. So it showed on unstyled page with the inputbox to and the send button, so I typed and clicked send but had know idea if it actually made it in.... now I learned it did :)

@Dro @berserk @Col another question... probably silly... how to set the height of a WebView (inside Frame layout) so that it won't be 100% of the screen height? It cause the top bar to hide contents on the web page... :/
I tried several things, none worked so far.

7:15 AM
@ShadowWizard show the xml

@ColdFire of what? The frame? Or webview?

the whole xml
how many xml you have for a single screen?

@ColdFire no idea, many elements there... I'll see.

post all xml

@ColdFire is there a way to get it? I can only see single element XML every time in the Android Studio.

7:17 AM
@ShadowWizard there's just one xml for one screen (mostly). Go to your activity, check the setContentView function call

ctrl + click on thing written next to R.layout
it'll open your xml

wolfffffff

fireeeeee

@DroidDev it's showing only this...
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
    xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
    android:id="@+id/drawer_layout"
    android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="match_parent"
    android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
    tools:openDrawer="start">

    <include
        layout="@layout/app_bar_main"
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
/cc @Col ^

7:23 AM
@ShadowWizard ok...so you see the include tag. What it does is, include another layout, which is a different class. Please ctrl + click on app_bar_main in your include tag. I think that's where your code is
then post then xml pleas

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
    xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
    android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="match_parent"
    tools:context="il.co.mir.integralapp.MainActivity">

    <android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
        android:layout_height="wrap_content"
That's more like it... lol
So much XML @Dro ^^

umm....why do you have a FrameLayout inside LinearLayout?
@ShadowWizard haha...you finally found the origin of your view :P

@DroidDev no idea, I was messing around when trying to add the webview as frame :/
So can I edit the XML directly to remove the LinearLayout and have only the FrameLayout?

@ShadowWizard lol...you have a grid layout, which I am sure you aren't using, another include tag for content_main which I am again sure you aren't using. I think you created NavigationActivity from android's built-in activities. Rigth?

7:28 AM
@DroidDev same question i have
@DroidDev yup built in

but anyway....you should just give your AppBarLayout an id, add layout_below tag on LinearLayout, delete FrameLayout from it and done
I think that'll do @Sha

^
wolf wolf

@DroidDev right! Because I needed something with a pop up menu :)
@DroidDev oh my... will do. Currently fixing bugz in other project, will do it later today. Thanks! :D
Thanks @Col too! :D
No thanks @ber too! :P

lol

~ Not everything is star-worthy...
~ Stars get removed under peer-pressure?

7:36 AM
@ShadowWizard hmm...my suggesstion, you should delete all that, and just put your webview inside your main activity's xml. That's easier and simpler. Also, that xml is for navigation menu (which is slide-in menu, hamburger menu), popup is entirely different thing. You can create that from your activity progrmatically and show it on screen.

@DroidDev oh, meant that slide-in menu with hamburger, the user should first click it, choose "Overview" then see the external page in webview.
There will be more items there of course, each pointing to different page.

oh nice

@ShadowWizard oh....then you have it right. But, that webview should still be inside content_main xml, and not inside app_bar_layout
app bar is status bar on top, which is hiding your webview

^
teacher wolf
where is berserk and sora they havent attacked yet :(

@DroidDev makes sense! So add it directly via XML, or use the designer?
@ColdFire sora?
You mean @Sil?

7:41 AM
nope he is not from this room
@ShadowWizard do it with xml
that is generally better

@ShadowWizard if you ask a developer with near or more than 3 years of experience, they'll always say xml ;)
@ColdFire they usually attack in last two hours

    xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"

    tools:context="il.co.mir.integralapp.MainActivity"
    tools:showIn="@layout/app_bar_main">

    <TextView
The webview now hides the "Welcome" text, but that's expected... guess I can just have the webview hidden by default, and show it when the menu item is clicked.

@ShadowWizard cool thanks

@ShadowWizard there's no need for it. See, layouts are for containing other items (mainly). You are already using LinearLayout, which contains other things in Linear fashion. Then you are using FrameLayout inside it, which serves no purpose. You can just do same thing on webview and will still get same results

Q: The reference to entity "foo" must end with the ';' delimiter

AdnanI have Google checkout sandbox generated HTML code which works fine in HTML page. When I put the same code in XHTML page, it throws the below exception: the reference to entity "w" must end with the ';' delimiter It's referring the request parameter w in the URL in the below src attribute: <...
