@ShadowWizard yeah, no. The build up of the dynamic sql statement becomes incredible complex then. I need a union first to get the results over all databases and the string building there is brittle at best. But what you suggest would be possible as well.

Not going to try it though ....

@ShadowWizard this what that query builds up dynamically and then executes:

select 'ServerFault'
     , p.title
     , p.id
     , p.answercount
from [ServerFault].dbo.posts p
where p.posttypeid = 1 -- Q
union
select 'ServerFault.Meta'
     , p.title

     , p.answercount
from [ServerFault.Meta].dbo.posts p
where p.posttypeid = 1 -- Q
union
select 'StackApps'
     , p.title
     , p.id
     , p.answercount
from [StackApps].dbo.posts p
where p.posttypeid = 1 -- Q
union -- etc for all other databases

so in theory you could wrap that in an extra select to do the grouping, but you would have to bring in that crazy url builder as well

remember that in an union not all sql constructs are allowed. Order by will not fly for example (or at least it didn't when I tried)

Yes, it will, but that is why the CommandTimeout is set to 2 minutes. And you are only allowed to have one running query per IP. There is a safeguard in SEDE for that.

if the per site query is too heavy, you'll never be able to run over all databases. Reputation over time is for example a no go

All users can write chatbots. But whether they are allowed to run in a certain chat room, depends on their rules. And for this specific chatroom, the rule is "all bots are allowed".

But in general, "fun" bots are not really welcome in the Tavern, e.g. @Moosebot is being kicked there if used for fun too much.
