Definition from Merriam-Webster: 1. adjective - not subject to death - connected with or relating to immortality - lasting forever 2. noun - one exempt from death - the gods of the Greek and Roman pantheon - a person whose fame is lasting
I don't know about that, but use common sense. :P If you're immortal, it means you can't die. If you get killed, you die. So you wouldn't be able to get killed if you're immortal.
@ShadowWizard well as far as i know we have a word in german for not being able to die, one for not being able to die of old age, and one for not being able to be killed. i don't remember the second one tho.. gotta find that somewhere
@ClemensHimmer interesting, in Hebrew we do have two separate words "בן אלמוות" which is someone that just can't die, and "נצחי" which means "eternal", but doesn't directly imply can't be killed.
@IͶΔ so, as ell.SE regular, will such question have a chance?
@ShadowWizard well your second word sounds like the one i can't remeber, we have "unsterblich", you can't die at all, or "untötbar", you can't be killed, you'll live until you die a natural death
