@ShadowWizard yup, we are gonna sit together and drink after pretty long time. One of them only drink with me...so he hasn't drank since a year too...others were also waiting for me to start drinking again....AND THIS WEEKEND, THE WAIT IS OVER!!!
was kind of hectic though lol, I finished it just 1h before we were supposed to leave, to find out the render time was 5 hours
so had it rendering during the ceremony and wedding cake xD to have it done in time for the party
by the time it was done rendering, the DJ had already started, so I couldn't play the video with the music. But I had it running on repeat (without sound) on the screens while the DJ was playing, so it was fine
You did a great job!!! I am really surprised that you did it alone. Here people usually hire a dedicated video maker/cameraman for this thing and they usually come in group ranging from 2-5 or 7 people
they make your pre-wedding videos to play it during the wedding on screens
@DroidDev haha you haven't even seen the vid xD but thx. I actually do have a background in video making so I'm not really an amateur like "oh my friend's son made this"
@DroidDev do you want to see some of my previous videos?
these college assignments were crazy :P for the last one the assignment was "make a video, get 1000 views within a week, 100+ likes on a new facebook page, and make it into the press/media"
the Nike assignment was: - come up with a concept for a famous company that wants to break a record, has to be very well thought-through - make a promo site (design + coding) - make a promo video - make an app to be used with it all in 2 weeks
since it took me 8 days to get my concept approved, I was left with 6 days to make the site + video + app
project was chatting app, in which you could send text, pictures, video, audio and anything you could imagine...social networking...groups...nearby people and much more
for experimental class I made a Guitar hero-like game where instead of using a guitar, you use your hands to make waves and flow according to the music, and the pc registers it through a kinect
anyway I really ended up hating that school. Sure the stuff you learn and make is cool, but the teachers sucked. You show these sites and videos to work colleagues and they're all super impressed, then you tell them "well this assignment I failed... this one I got only 10/20, this one I failed, aaaand I failed this class"
@PraxisAshelin actually, right now, I have no time to write long stories...I only switch to this tab while my code is in build process....(solving various issues)
@DroidDev you don't need to pretend to be working to us
@DroidDev it's funny because my portfolio hasn't been updated for 3 years... but I honestly haven't actually made anything better than the stuff that is on there now. I haven't made anything worthwhile in the past 3 years
If you have a look at the documentation for Html.fromHtml(text) you'll see it says:
Any <img> tags in the HTML will display as a generic replacement image which your program can then go through and replace with real images.
If you don't want to do this replacement yourself you can use the o...
You can create a spannableString and place your image where you want in the TextView. Or you can use
ImageSpan is = new ImageSpan(context, resId);
text.setSpan(is, index, index + strLength, 0);
look here: How to display image in Android's TextView?
lastly when i visited tour page (without login) at last at the section of badges it shows you earn informed badge check your profile that happens with me on meta.se as well as on SO
just visited again but now its showing In fact, you can earn a badge just for reading this page may be text changed.
@berserk you can just share text or an image with text, or a post with link to something, or a post with link and your app logo with text or image, or an audio or blah blah blah
if you have someone, who has done it before, then I will say, at least 3 days for implementation(that includes only integration and sharing logic, no UI) and two days for testing will be enough...
where, someone who has done it before means, you have code for it
so, there are endless things, where you can get delayed
@berserk nope, not with code. For example, for facebook, you need to go to facebook(preferable through client's account). Make an app there. They'll give you keys etc...then you fill them up in your project. Then you can start. Remember, for sharing, you also need login tokens etc
I still feel that somehow, 3 days will be less
you can take my word for it, these things are serious pains in the ass, once you get down to it
I'll only assign it to guy who has done it. Having code means nothing. I don't think you should take anything less than 1 day for each integration and I'll say it again very stressfully, its one day "WHEN YOU HAVE THE CODE AND DONE IT BEFORE". Done it before means, you know how to do it.
