@PraxisAshelin designing is something that(I believe) can't be learned by experience. You can learn tools, some best practices for some things, but not the designing. For designing itself, you have to be innovative and intuitive(something that I am not and something you can't be with experience)....

@PraxisAshelin well...it is mostly because your experience and education speaks before you speak or it is a proof that you have really done this kind of thing. Wether or not you are really good at it can only be known by looking at your actual work....and I've seen even that being faked at many places
I have 2 years of experience with professional projects and even I haven't got any portfolio. I don't even know proper definition for one. Never needed one....never cared enough :/
