Should the number of votes that a user is eligible to cast be listed somewhere on the primary voting page? I found that I could cast one up or down per candidate.. but I had to look around for the answer.
I'm new to the SO community so this is the first time I've seen moderator elections being held.
I was just wondering how often these elections are held?
Does the current moderator(s) stay until they don't want to do it anymore or is there a set period of time they are given the job for?
Why does a user need 150 points to vote (and why not less)?
On the one hand, I can understand that people who rarely visit should not be able to skew results, and that the minimum reduces the chances of fraud.
On the other, I frequent SO quite a bit, but ask and answer relatively few question...
As per this thread on The Pro Webmaster Meta, we're down to two mods and could use a third (one recently quit). What is the process to getting an election started to get us back to three moderators? Who do we notify?
