Or perhaps not, but generic " " is hardly good.

Hello. When I search on the stackexchange.com front page: I end up with pages ordered in "some way", and I'd like to sort them from newest to oldest : is there somewhere a description of search modifiers? (and will they work on every se sites? unix.se, stackoverflow, etc? or just stackexchange ?)
(I tried to look for this in the search but couldn't find the proper keywords, or maybe there wasn't any Q/A about this?)
(or do I need to post this as a question? on meta.se ?)

I found : meta.stackoverflow.com/search , which also links to : stackoverflow.com/help/searching which contains a "Dates" section that will be ok for what I need to do.
