Q: Does the [featured] tag prevent a post from becoming Hot Meta Post?

MartinThis answer posted by Shog9 lists how a post becomes a Hot Meta post: What criteria are used to select the links that appear in the community bulletin sidebar block? (current revision). Among the conditions listed there, it says that a post tagged with a moderator status tag will not become a hot...

As that post says, hot meta posts are selected randomly from questions on the "Hot" tab on the per-site meta that meet certain criteria. "Not be tagged featured" is not one of those criteria, or at least it wasn't at the time it was updated. It does say later on that the overall list is checked for duplicate items before it's rendered, so I think that's what you're talking about. — Sonic the Anonymous Hedgehog yesterday
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog I have overlooked the part about duplicates. Still the revision history (and the timeline) should show "became hot meta post" - the same way it does on the example from SO. (I will add the the post from meta MO is on the hot tab.) — Martin 24 hours ago

Hi! Sorry to bother you, but do you mind helping me to keep my chat-rooms active, because cannot do it this week (due to restrictions that I believe are totally unjustified). Thanks! — user21820 10 hours ago
@user21820 Only now I noticed your comment - but as you can see, even before that I saw that one of your rooms was close to 14 days. I do not know whether or not you have a Meta Stack Exchange account - if you do you can still talk in the rooms on the different chatserver - such as this one or this one. — Martin Sleziak 40 secs ago
Unless I am mistaken, the other rooms that you own have some activity recently - so if you come back in 5 days, they should still be there.
