@YaakovEllis should probably pin a message making it clear that this isn't the place to come buttonhole random dev or salesperson about one's personal peeve. Or maybe just leave that 'til it (hopefully never) happens?

Honestly, I think being sure to reach out to Jon and ask for his suggestions--aside from what might be implicit in his blog post on the matter--would be excellent.
You've got there a very thoughtful and generous former employee who has done this work before.

@rene yeah, it is a good read, but that event had goals that were much more focused on "force the experienced users in the company to try things from scratch again and report on the issues that they encountered". Here, that feedback is one thing that we want to get, but creating more of the identification/empathy and especially lasting engagement for as many staff as possible (including those who have no network presence at the moment) is front and center.
